Oh ****, I can see them not getting back on now.

****ing Rutherford and McCullum. It could be all over if not for them.

Off they go. Well done Ruds and Mac. You wrought this you stupid ****s.

University Oval has terrible drainage we just have to hope that this doesn't stay around for long.

Law 3:09 of the MCC handbook - "NZ shalt not win test matches ever, usually ensured by their own ineptitude. If by some miracle they appear to be coming close, rain shall fall indefinitely"

Ah, that explains it

Must be serious down at the oval because it's not raining here in the Octagon. It's rained because the fire escape is wet yet there's no rain on the window and the street looks patchy with wetness.

Looks very grim to the north... but luckily the weather is coming from the south, where the cloud cover is a bit more broken. Though it's not moving quickly. Oops, can now hear the rain on the roof so it's getting heavier

Looking at the forecast, the chance of rain is only getting worse the later it gets. So really they have to go straight back out after the tea break and get in 3-4 overs.

Ah looks heavy now, unlikely they'll get out. Great result for the Windies.

McCullum and Rud's might try and claim that got out the way they did due to the prospect of rain.:p

lol nz. Well played WI. Showed how far taking a seemingly game one ball at a time can get you.

also **** you third umpire and your non-knowledge of basic cricketing laws

Have faith. Sun is out now in the west of the city. It's still drizzly mind. One of those "if they were out playing they wouldn't go off, but as they're off they won't come back" situations. But I think we'll get an hour of no rain pretty soon. Long enough to get the covers off and get back out.

Someone on Cricinfo said it's clearing in St Clair. I'm gonna cling to a little bit of hope.

Interesting, text from a mate in Dunedin says 'no chance they'll get out there'. According to him there's little to no wind.
