Typical Dhoni knock. Dropped early, teammate(s) already done the hard-work and easy runs await.

Wagner already a tried and tested failure? Thought he was ok in the Caribbean and the ability to get reverse may have been useful here. 3 lefties would have been a novel sight as well. Franklin presumably there for the batting, averages over 130 (over 300 against India) with the ball since 2007.

anyone wonder if nz's dismal over-rate is a tactic - if they can keep the match to 400 overs rather than 450, it must increase the odds of getting a draw?

Gutted for Marto. Pujara's batted well today but he's had a couple of slices of good fortune too.

I really wish Taylor would put a 3rd slip in. That one didn't carry, but others will, and the new ball won't swing for long.
