Voting is finished for the middle order now and we got a clear result. Dravid (13), Worrell (12) and Weekes (it was a tie, but I voted for Compton) will compliment the selections so far quite nicely I believe.

World D XI
1. Greenidge
2. Hayden
3. Dravid
4. Weekes
5. Worrell
6.
7.
8.
9. Lindwall (1)
10. Garner (2)
11.

I think it's best if we organise our bowling now.

1. Select a spinner
2. Select a third bowler (pace or spin)

Fast bowling suggested shortlist
Neil Adcock, Shoaib Akhtar, Alec Bedser, Ian Bishop, Ian Botham, Colin Croft, Kapil Dev, Wes Hall, Harold Larwood, George Lohmann, Fazal Mahmood, Shaun Pollock, Mike Procter, Andy Roberts, John Snow, Fred Spofforth, Brian Statham, Dale Steyn, Heath Streak, Frank Tyson, Charlie Turner, Chaminda Vaas, Courtney Walsh, Bob Willis, Waqar Younis
Suggested spin shortlist
Bishan Bedi, Richie Benaud, Charlie Blythe, Johnny Briggs, Bhajwath Chandrasekhar, Aubrey Faulkner, Lance Gibbs, Clarrie Grimmett, Subhash Gupte, Anil Kumble, Stuart MacGill, Saqlain Mushtaq, Bobby Peel, Erapalli Prasanna, Abdul Qadir, Wilfred Rhodes, Graeme Swann, Hugh Tayfield, Hugh Trumble, Derek Underwood, Hedley Verity, Johnny Wardle

Great record, and a late starter, could have done a lot more at Test level.

Shaun Pollock

Not much difference between all of the bowlers at this stage, and I want to pick a proper keeper at this point. Pollock and Lindwall gives me the lower order depth to be picking a guy averaging in the 30s in this side.

Grimmett took 216 wickets from 37 matches- that's unbelievable. 21 five-fors in that time, too.

weldone, would you happen to know where I could find this article/post? I am very curious now...
You'll have to search. He created a new thread to post all his articles on cricketers of the past. He did that not more than 3 months ago IIRC.

This for me as well.
