Who would you consider better anyway Burgey?

Someone who stays on the park to begin with.

Steyn, Anderson, Philander, Harris (again, when on the park), Morkel, Khan to name a few. Broad, sadly, seems to be getting some annoying injuries like Harris and Zaheer. He's improved a lot though, so despite those injuries I feel confident he will continue to dominate women's cricket for a while yet.

All the first 3 I agree with. Not so sure about Harris, Morkel or Zaheer, it's all pretty close between them tbh, for me, however, Broad's recent form would probably put him stronger than those 3, hence the 4th best in the world . Broad's recent injury record could prove a major hinderance though I agree, especially considering how he came back from the injury he sustained last March/April.

First day's play of that Sydney test probably the best I've ever been to live.

Headley was near unplayable on day on of the 3rd test in 1997 at old trafford too, on debut no less.

Yeah it was indeed, has been played umpteen times during rain breaks over here. Was back when away ashes existed entirely on the radio for me, remember that and the Gough hatrick from that series.

Right this very second, Philander. In the past 2 years, Anderson on par with Steyn (more or less). Best current bowler across a decent-length career, Steyn.

Those three are head and shoulders above anyone else though.

Dale Steyn and Philander are quite comfortably the best fast bowlers in the world. Anderson, Zaheer, Morkel, Harris to fight it out for the next few spots.

Just watching him bowl, especially in non subcontinental conditions, I think people underestimate how special Anderson is. His control of swing is absolutely breathtaking and I think that if he keeps his fitness up (and with English conditioning, I see no reason why he won't) he could be an exceptional Test bowler well into his 30s.

Anderson has the ball on a string, but I think Steyn hates batsmen more

The conditions Anderson has been bowling in recently are so much tougher than the conditions Phillander has been bowling in.

I reckon Broad is probably up there as well now and is probably the 3rd or 4th best fast bowler around at the moment

So glad that someone wrote that article. Completely vindicates what I've been saying regarding the Anderson v Steyn question.

If Steyn had averaged 27 in the UAE and Anderson had averaged 45, I bet a lot of people would use that against Anderson.
