Hey Dean Headley was a beast, ****ed you guys up once I seem to remember.Crack field that....
Someone who stays on the park to begin with. Can't argue with his performances over the last 9 months tbh. And over the last 2 and a half years his performances have been more than respectable Bowling records | Test matches | Cricinfo Statsguru | ESPN Cricinfo
Who would you consider better anyway Burgey?
Ind33d. Was a Melbourne test iirc.Hey Dean Headley was a beast, ****ed you guys up once I seem to remember.
All the first 3 I agree with. Not so sure about Harris, Morkel or Zaheer, it's all pretty close between them tbh, for me, however, Broad's recent form would probably put him stronger than those 3, hence the 4th best in the world . Broad's recent injury record could prove a major hinderance though I agree, especially considering how he came back from the injury he sustained last March/April.Someone who stays on the park to begin with.
Steyn, Anderson, Philander, Harris (again, when on the park), Morkel, Khan to name a few. Broad, sadly, seems to be getting some annoying injuries like Harris and Zaheer. He's improved a lot though, so despite those injuries I feel confident he will continue to dominate women's cricket for a while yet.
Yep, our standard random test win in the middle of a thrashing. Those were the days.Ind33d. Was a Melbourne test iirc.
Was that the 98-99 series? I think you came close to winning the Sydney test that year too from memory.Yep, our standard random test win in the middle of a thrashing. Those were the days.
Yeah it was indeed, has been played umpteen times during rain breaks over here. Was back when away ashes existed entirely on the radio for me, remember that and the Gough hatrick from that series. Was that the 98-99 series? I think you came close to winning the Sydney test that year too from memory.
First day's play of that Sydney test probably the best I've ever been to live.
Such a shame he got crocked. Was building a decent reputation.Hey Dean Headley was a beast, ****ed you guys up once I seem to remember.
Gough's hat trick the only time I've even perfunctorily cheered a Pom.Yeah it was indeed, has been played umpteen times during rain breaks over here. Was back when away ashes existed entirely on the radio for me, remember that and the Gough hatrick from that series.
So you're discounting Philander then (or are you calling Anderson's last 2 and a half years his "day"?)Currently Steyn, Anderson & Philander(er) but this doesn't mean much, every dog has it's day. Steyn the better bowler overall by a long shot.
Pretty sure he was chuffed actually, given the oppoSo you're discounting Philander then (or are you calling Anderson's last 2 and a half years his "day"?)
So glad that someone wrote that article. Completely vindicates what I've been saying regarding the Anderson v Steyn question. The conditions Anderson has been bowling in recently are so much tougher than the conditions Phillander has been bowling in.
The Numbers Game: Dale Steyn v James Anderson | Regulars | Cricinfo Magazine | ESPN Cricinfo Steyn has done marginally better over the last couple of years, and I still think he's better than Anderson, but not by a big margin.
I reckon Broad is probably up there as well now and is probably the 3rd or 4th best fast bowler around at the moment
