KP beats Dravid with big turn twice in a row.

This is looking like a right bunsen now.

I'mimpressed by our use of 5 bowlers in 12 overs, considering that we only have 4.

Watching that plumb Lbw again, I can't see how the umpire thought it was anything other than pad first, the bat was way behind the pad, horrible decision.

Half hour of spin and the day'll be over judging by the last few overs.
Nah mate, didn't you get the memo, India players don't get out to spin ever. Similarly, Sehwag is the best opener in the world and their batting line-up that hasn't passed 300 in the series is the greatest of all-time.

One has to wonder whether Sehwag’s own reputation gets to him these days. Either that or he’s been spoiled by the kind of pitches he gets back home that allows him to play in the manner in which he’s being playing over the past few years. Yeah it works….in the subcontinent. But, theres a reason why he hasn’t been scoring a lot of runs outside of the subcontinent for a while now and it’s not because he can’t (because he’s shown that earlier in his career he could). He just doesn’t seem willing to put in the effort to graft it out, and if he’s not willing to change that then he’s got serious problems.

.. Yeah spot on...

They are more likely to last longer against spin than against Anderson and Broad...

Don't think the whole batting-lineup has played together until this match.... people keep forgetting Sehwag and Gambhir (technically) wasn't playing in the first match... When you take out 2 specialist openers out of any lineup... its going to struggle to make big scores... especially in a place like England.

He has done very well in Australia and has done well in the West Indies too.

The only real places he has had trouble so far are South Africa,Newzealand and England.
(Though in SA in low scoring matches his 20/30 quick runs have been important in some matches) That is probably about 10 to 15% of the cricket he plays at most so probably doesn't feel a need to change his game and don't think he is in any serious trouble with regards to it in the India team as long as he guns it in the rest.

Though he certainly needs to watch a bit first in such conditions.

I know it is Sehwag bash hour (Which is usually the case when he gets out playing a really rash shot) but tbf to him he clearly isn't fully fit and was rushed back almost as a panic move.

Yeah he shouldn't have been out there. The point you made about his fielding says a lot. If a player can't move his shoulder enough to throw the ball, how's he meant to bat well?

We'll see tomorrow properly.

But won't be too confident of judging fully based on 2 overs before the close of play tbh. Happens ever so often when Spinners bowl the last 2 overs they look more threatening easily than the next day.

Think the spinners will play a part but i am pretty sure that the Indian team would rather face them tomorrow rather than the seamers who have bothered them the whole series.
