Broad could have so many more wickets this series, he's past the outside edge countless amount a times.

Is there any more evidence you need that he needs to pitch it a yard fuller? I agree though, could well have had a bag.

If he pitched it up a bit the ball would deviate less before it reached the bat and might take an edge rather than sailing through.

As for the Prior "Windowgate" incident.

At any other ground in the world i'd be ashamed but it probably woke up the stuffy dopey members so good on him i say.

Yeah, he bowls almost no deliveries that threaten the stumps. I don't think he's as unlucky as he looks.

Over the course of an innings, you might consider him to be unlucky.

However since Flower and Strauss took charge (and I'm aware that I'm cherry picking stats here by ignoring when Broad averaged 40+), he's taking a wicket every 64 balls. Given that he's played 26 Tests in that time, it suggests that he's simply not posing enough of a wicket taking threat to be a Test bowler.

Beauty. But again, wtf are they doing running two to get the lefty back on strike. They're byes ffs, the batsman won't even get credited for them.

Hmm. But you sound as though there's some kind of line which a bowler needs to be above before he should play tests. The quality of the competition comes into play too.

Can see him being left out at some stage if Finn and Tremlett keep outbowling him. It's not like they really need his batting or anything.

I've raved over Cook enough, but I'll say it again - he is phenominal. Definition of a no fuss run scoring machine.
