This is the one time where I really enjoy David Lloyds commentary. He's absolutely right.

There are so many unwarranted breaks in play.

Hmm. But you sound as though there's some kind of line which a bowler needs to be above before he should play tests. The quality of the competition comes into play too.

Can see him being left out at some stage if Finn and Tremlett keep outbowling him. It's not like they really need his batting or anything.
Had Bresnan and Anderson stayed fit then I would've gone with the same bowling attack that played in Sydney and Melbourne.

The problem is that the likes of Finn, Dernbach, Bresnan, Shazad, Onions, even Tremlett, are relatively untested at the highest level but IMO Broad has had more than enough opportunities with England and I'm not convinced he's good enough to be playing Tests.

As far as excuse for broken windows go (and I've had a few in my time) the two ECB efforts to date are a few rungs lower down the credibility scale than "it was like that when I found that".

It would have been interesting to see who they would have gone with if Bresnan had been fit. Like you I'd have gone with the attack that finished the Ashes, which imo has a little a bit more variety and atm is better.

I would love to see a glove break a window.

Thats not what happened, didn't you read the news?

The glove hit Ricky Ponting who ricocheted off a tv and hit a bat which broke the glass which cut someone who called ICC demanding an apology.

And it all happened in a house that Jack built.

Don't see that from KP very often. And you see what happens when Broad pitches it up? It can't be easy to drive someone of that height, even if it seems like a half volley, especially if it swings a bit.

You don't see him in the slips very often, he's taken some good ones in the gully mind.
