Should either leave it or leave it, really.
Yeah true but if you're gonna try and hit a long hop for four, actually hit the damn thing.

The dumbest thing is now Tremlett has is tail up. I was right in the middle of posting how Broad was bowling better than him with the new ball again, but that will probably change now.

He's one of the finest batsmen in world cricket. He should not be leaving that or 'smashing' it. He should be caressing it over the top which is what he tried to do.

Trouble is he's out of nick.

Prasanna at 5? Jesus christ that is the worst Test batting line up I've ever seen.
And to think people were seriously suggesting they would have tried to chase 270 @ 3.5rpo...

The ECB statement on 'windowgate' suggests that Matt Prior threw his gloves, which ricocheted off a kit bag, into bats near window which broke glass.

That sounds so familiar.

Wow, thought he'd nicked that.

Feel like questioning Sanga's commitment this series tbh.
Commitment is a strong word to use in this context, man. He's been a great player for many years and maybe it's an issue of mental fatigue more than anything else. You make it sound as if it is intentional.

Why do these 6'6" or taller giants tend to pitch it short? Is it a psychological thing? Coz I think steep bounce from a good/fullish length would be distinctly uncomfortable to face.

EDIT: Jaya, what was the need for this?

Someone in the Sri Lankan dressing room has badly misinterpreted the "need to stay positive when saving a game" mantra.

In many ways, what sets Sanga above other more talented batsmen in the team is his determination. Even when he does badly he tends to react in a certain way and comes back stronger than ever. I feel its one of the reasons he's so consistent. I'm not really seeing it from him this whole series, its very unlike him.
