If Warnie hasn't spruiked you/mentioned your drinking/wingman abilities, you're nothing. O'Keefe hasn't had that nor has his bowling been thoroughly and irreparably gimped by TJ.But won't he know the home conditions well for the Test at the SCG?
I think you'll enjoy reading my State of the Nation essay on Australian cricket. If Warnie hasn't spruiked you/mentioned your drinking/wingman abilities, you're nothing. O'Keefe hasn't had that nor has his bowling been thoroughly and irreparably gimped by TJ.
O'Keefe, from all reports, is a normal dude who bats, bowls, fields well and always manages to find a way to contribute. There is no place for a man like that in the current Test side.
Copeland's definitely a better bowler than McDonald. As much as I like watching him bowl and would love nothing more than seeing him get a proper opportunity in Tests, though, I don't really see much difference between what he sends down and what Butterworth does for example, other than perhaps his ability to bowl super-long spells. Butterworth's a much better bat too and isn't spoken about nearly as highly as what Copeland is.Still not sold on Copeland, his bowling speeds are pretty slow for a test bowling spot, between 115 and 120km's is not quick, i'd be happier with Andrew McDonald, he can bat too.
Yeah Sri Lanka would not be a good place for him to debut at all IMO.Oh Copeland is better than Macca as a bowler, but he'll be a toiler in the test team, and we've had Hilfy toiling badly all summer, is it right to just replace one for another? I dont know, i'd be happy to see him given a go, but in SL it will be hard work, and i'm sure he'll come away from SL with much to show apart from a great economy rate, no green pitches there, or even in the Aussie tests next season either, possibly in SA later in the year he might go really well like S Clark did in 2006.
Yo Vics, next time make the final.Tassie storming home now. Fatty Cosgrove looking to end it before tea. WAG.
Yo Blues, text time hold your catches and accelerate earlier.
