Any idea why Roach didn't play for the windies?
Happy with our result, we've beaten Zimbabwe a fair bit but its always good to take out a team generally recognised as your superior.

yeah man for once even I feel optimisticThings definitely looking good for Pakistan.
Yep, and today they couldn't take a single wicket between them.Well mate if you want to flog the English side then go ahead, but didn't this same 'pedestrian' Aussie bowling attack run through what many see as the best batting line-up in the world only a couple of days ago....?
but with india batting is a non-issue. They have arguably the strongest batting line-up in the WC.Australia's attack is inconsistent. Even in the recent ODI series against England, they conceded some big scores in between the matches where they bowled them out cheaply. India also have the same problem. If the opening bowlers can't pick up a couple early, it's usually going to be a long day.
Is it too late to get rid of Ponting as captain?
Seriously, when was the last time we played well with him as captain?
Gotta be well over a year
Not if you were to go by the last warmup game...but with india batting is a non-issue. They have arguably the strongest batting line-up in the WC.
*Cough*...Someone made a suggestion that India need to get their best and inform batsmen.. i.e. Sehwag, Tendulkar, Gambhir and Kohli in the top 4 and I agree. If Yuvraj is being picked with his bowling in mind, let him regain his form at No. 5 or 6.
I think if Yuvraj or Raina are being kept in for the sake of their bowling, as they seem to be, their place in on the teamsheet should reflect this. I'd drop Raina and put Yuvraj at #6, at least until he regains some form.
Did you even read this thread?wow this forum these day proves why the ICC is kicking out the minnows from the WC no-one cares from abroad and no one in Holland cares about cricket.
In other news Netherlands beat Kenya with 2 wickets with 5 balls to go, RtD, Kervezee, Buurman and Bukhari did the batting, i am very much worried about our bowling...it sucks
... Meanwhile, the Dutch have made a great start, 67/0 off 10, Kervezee 49* (32).
Kenyas spinners taking care of the Dutch. Although Rtd is still out there. Loving all this cricket.
50 for RtD, but it's looking like a losing cause for the Netherlands now.
39 off 30 with 2 wickets in hand. RtD flying.
Ten Doeschate has gone nuts, suddenly 81* off 80. 32 required from 26, but only 2 wickets left.
20 off 23 with two wickets in hand. Netherland's game to lose.
RTD is a good player. He played down here in New Zealand and was consistent with both bat and ball and ended up MVP for the competition. That was 20/20 but he is obviously talented judging by his king one day record. Its a shame he doesn't play for a test nation tbh. I'd have him in our NZ team easy.
It would be cool if Dirk Nannes was playing for them as well. They could have caused a few surprises amongst the seemingly predictable results to come.
Rtd at it again. Disappointing from Kenya.
Dutch are better side than Kenya, so they just shouldn't have allowed the game to get so close but still RtD showing exactly why he is rated and loved by many around here.
Wow, great stuff from RtD. Looking forward to actually watching a player I've heard a great deal about on here.
Ten Doeschate looking like winning this on his own for the Netherlands, 92* now. Need 11 off the final 3 overs. Two wickets left.
can RTD end on century
Can Ryan ten Doescate get his hundred ? Scores are level with one over remaining.
EDIT : He doesn't.
Let this be a lesson. NEVER EVER DOUBT RTD
the lower order and rtd pull of a close one.. well done to the boys in orange.
Agreed. Is it too late to get rid of Ponting as captain?
