Plus Worcester are financially restricted so may only be able to afford a short-term contract. There was speculation they may have to do without an overseas, so I suppose this is better than nothing.

He went to my school, used to watch him smash attacks all around the place all the time. He was good to watch but didn't seem to have much self-control or temperemant. But yeah, good to see him doing well, hope he gets more games.

Yes as Marc alluded to earlier, they've snapped up Saeed Ajmal for the second half of the season, which means he'll be available for the T20, a format you expect him to excel in.
Considering the financial difficulties Worcester are facing, that's not a nad signing. May even contribute to a few CC victories during and towards the end of summer, when in theory the pitches should suit spin with another gloriously hot summer on its way!

Yes, I've really enjoyed watching Jones bowling again, he's bowling with really good pace, off a really short run up and not much more than a amble in. I'd love to see him remain fit and some how, get back into England's T20 squad and from what I've seen of him in the Caribbean, I wouldn't put it past him, with a good County one day summer behind him, he's definitely still got it.

The Windwards-Guyana game was exciting, if low on quality. Fielders from both sides let down their bowlers, and there were few stand-out performances. Andre Fletcher was the top Windwards batsman with 40 from 36 balls, and Darren Sammy had a decent allrounder performance with a quickfire 26, a wicket and a catch, while pacer Nelon Pascal again impressed with his speed and three wickets. But for Guyana, aside from Steven Jacobs' run-a-ball 36, there was little else. Were they missing Shiv Chanderpaul, who returned home for 'personal business'? For the third match, it went down to the wire, except this time they weren't so lucky.

Usman Khawaja's joined Derbyshire for the first half of the English season, subject to a NOC from CA. An excellent move for parties imo. Whether he'll be as run-heavy as his Aussie predecessor at Derby, Chris Rogers, is doubtful in his first county foray, but will be interesting to see how he goes.

Although I'm as biased as they come, being the biggest Simon Jones fan in the world even though its been six years, get him in the Test team now. Well maybe not but I'd certainly consider him if he takes a hatful early season at decent pace with all his limbs still in place.
Seems to have decent pace still, looked around 85-87 mph, was generating quite a bit of swing and his radar looked pretty much spot on. Unbelievable how he comes back from injury lay offs nearly a year long and starts dominating teams from the off. Had half a season back in 2007 where he came back for Glamorgan taking wickets at sub 20 odd, had one decent season with Worcestershire and last game of last season he had a blinder.
I hope for his sake that he manages to keep his body in one piece. I'd of gone crazy with the luck he's had.

Yes an exciting signing for Surrey, especially, you would expect, for the limited-overs competitions. Seems to fit the right criteria that Chris Adams is looking for when he brings new players to the Oval, as it seems it wasn't a move they were planning on. However, when someone becomes available and is seen as an ideal player for your squad, then you have to move for him.
