He might only be available for a little while.Haha **** me that's poor.
Question. Why is Damien Wright only signing for a little while, given that Worcestershire don't have anyone else yet?

Plus Worcester are financially restricted so may only be able to afford a short-term contract. There was speculation they may have to do without an overseas, so I suppose this is better than nothing. He might only be available for a little while.
You mean Benny Howell? Do you know him?Great to see that Howelly did a good job.
Nah, signed Saeed Ajmal instead. Are Worcs bringing back Shakib? Was one of the best spinners in the CC last year.
Yes, I've really enjoyed watching Jones bowling again, he's bowling with really good pace, off a really short run up and not much more than a amble in. I'd love to see him remain fit and some how, get back into England's T20 squad and from what I've seen of him in the Caribbean, I wouldn't put it past him, with a good County one day summer behind him, he's definitely still got it.Simon Jones figures currently in the Hants vs Barbados game, 3 overs 2 wickets for 4 runs, very impressive. If, and of course it is a big if, he can remain fit, then maybe a career as a specialist T20 player may be a very good option for him.
Now I'm not a massive T20 fan, yes I'll watch it when it's on and will enjoy the entertainment and the game for what it is. I don't like how it has become a priority in some people's eyes, but that's because I'm quite a traditionalist when it comes to cricket. You need certain skills, but it does not compare to what's required in the longer formats. I am a huge fan of Simon Jones, but would not begrudge him turning his back on the grind of the County Championship to try and earn some quick money while his knee permits.
I generally don't agree with players doing this, as I see it as a very easy option made from players scared of some hard work. Of course the financial aspect I'm sure is difficult to refuse. But in Jones' case, he deserves some luck, and to cash in on the talent he possesses after his rotten misfortune with injuries.
Sensitive, aren't we? Did the loss hurt that much? Thanks for the report - until then I'd assumed 85-1 vs 24-8 was a close game in doubt up until the last over.
Why would a side I have no particular love for losing hurt me?Sensitive, aren't we? Did the loss hurt that much?

Enlightening as always morgieNah, signed Saeed Ajmal instead.
Yes an exciting signing for Surrey, especially, you would expect, for the limited-overs competitions. Seems to fit the right criteria that Chris Adams is looking for when he brings new players to the Oval, as it seems it wasn't a move they were planning on. However, when someone becomes available and is seen as an ideal player for your squad, then you have to move for him.Hmm so Maynard joins Surrey.
