Even though he hasn't been tactically perfect, there's something about Misbah that makes me have some (probably misguided) faith in his captaincy. It's probably the fact that I have a Blaze18-on-Lara-like sweaty man crush on the guy, but still, I don't mind him saying that so much.

So far he has the results against SA and NZ to back up that big mouth of his.

A lot of people are underestimating the last 3 test performances by Pak without giving enough significance that our bowling line up is far from 1st choice or even competitive at test level. The only positive is batting where we have Shafiq, Toufee and Misbah in some good form. Over all Drawing 2 tests and winning 1 is a killer achievement for this Pak side.

Well clearly he means that he is in it to win it....who would say before the test that they are going for a draw to win the series by 1-0.

I am kinda annoyed by sometimes out of line criticism by many other Pakistanis as well not only you but many.

He is a captain and his job is to motivate his players to win....any captain in his position would have said similar thing.

How about a 5-0 win for Australia like McGrath said before the Ashes began...

Hardly closet. I talk about it all the time.

There's definitely a lot to like about an old bloke with a mammoth First Class record who failed in limited Test opportunities during his youth/prime sticking at it into his mid to late 30s and proving he could've been quite a player if he was shown more faith earlier on. Especially when he puts his hand up to captain Pakistan; the least attractive position of authority in the history of humanity.
