This will play out in a similar fashion to the India-NZ 3rd Test.

Fancy you are right. Very rare that the Windies batsmen come to the party if Gayle fails.

Hopefully Junior Bravo continues his good form, and Chanderpaul plays well, apart from those two there doesn't seem to be too many big scores in this WI batting lineup. Too bad Barath couldn't play.

Dilshan bowling within the first 10 overs of a test. Either Kumar doesn't rate Herath/the quicks (both probably correct) or he thinks the Windies are real suckers.

Fernando is woefully out of match practice. The wat he bowled against Aussies in Brisbane was good enough to recall him to the 1st test, but select suckers kept ignoring him. He's a sort of bowler unless the whole thing clicks will deliver dross. Should have been used when he was hot, but now looks crap with spraying it around like Peter North.

I don't think so!! , the more Bravo plays you can't help but think we've got another world beater on our hands!!, yet again he's been absolutely brilliant in this innings, he's displayed every shot in the book and has defended well too, it's the style of which he goes about it that impresses everyone though!!, it's just classy stuff and i hope his cousin Mr Brian Lara keeps guiding this young man,

Anyway it was typical Gayle really, one great innings followed by garbage!!, he still has a big role to play for us but it won't be long before Brathwaite is knocking down his door, a kid who has a totally different style to Gayle's "gung ho" approach.

All in all it's been a great fightback and i'm delighted Pascal has got another chance, i knew they wouldn't go for Russell due to problems with his action, if we can get a healthy score of 350-400 then we should be fine, i'm not counting my chickens yet though cause this is still WI!! .

Today also a commentator (Tony Cozier is it?) says "Batsmen had been offered light" where nothing has happened of that sort. Umps just said to the batsmen "We are outta here". One fool in the commentry box says light has been offered while others listening takes it as a spinal reflex and starts shouting "batsmen were offered light". The commies are talking garbage, and we know that when garbage is fed, garbage will come out.

Yeah because you were on the ground with the umpires right Migara? quite frankly the "did they or didn't they" argument is soooooo last week, i really don't give a damn whether you believe it or not, the fact is we were forced to bat in the dark which benefited SL, and most people with eyes saw that.

Even today it seemed like we were batting at dusk!!.. but the NEW umpire had common sense this time and stepped in early!! .

Still the commentator idiot says "Light has been offered to batsmen . . blah . . blah . . blah . . ". And worst of all some idiots still wants to think that way. The bolded part is just your speculation, which has no basis other than your opinion.

Well your opinion is also "speculation" too because you wasn't on the ground with the umpires to know for sure whether they did or didn't offer the light!! , furthermore my line about us being 'forced to bat in the dark' is indeed a fact because everyone saw the dark hovering over the ground.

Junior Bravo! :) Now go on and make it a hundred.

Pleasantly surprised to see Smith still there as well. Hopefully WI can get to 350-400 atleast.

cricinfo comment :

Mark Kidger: "With a 30-point difference in the Test ranking table, Sri Lanka will take a huge hit if the fail to win the series. A 0-0 result would drop Sri Lanka 6 points to 5th in the table. If West Indies were to sneak it (0-1), the drop would be 9 points and the West Indies would sail into 6th, above Pakistan."

Good to see both Devon and Lil Bravo getting their half-centuries, and putting together a hundred partnership....
