Harbhajan took 177 wickets @26.8 SR 59, 15 fifers, 3 10ers in the 37 tests he played for Ganguly. He has only 2 Fifers under Dhoni in 20 test matches. Clearly suggesting that Bhajji isn't the bowler he was under Ganguly.

Zaheer has been good, Harbhajan has been much worse. And not having Kumble is a huge huge disadvantage at home.

India didn't have a weak side, we were pretty good. Check how we played against Australia. We were inconsistent.

He is not even close to Sourav in ODIs, in Tests he has already surpassed Sourav .

This seems to be going around in circles. I have already mentioned more than once that Sourav Ganguly had better spinners. MS Dhoni has better fast bowlers and batsmen.

I did not say India had a weak side then; I said they had a relatively weak side.

If you feel that MS Dhoni has surpassed Ganguly in tests, that is your prerogative. He has played nowhere near enough outside India for mine.

Southee looked like taking wickets even when his radar was off though. Bowls some good deliveries amidst the dross. Really would like to see him bowl 6 good balls in a row more often though.
I have a bad feeling it'll be a while before we see it. He really would've been better off being left in domestic cricket I feel. But he has still been our second best seamer on this tour, by a distance (in both directions mind). Should hopefully have an easier time of it against Pakistan next year.

Watched about an hour of this test earlier this afternoon and I think it's fair to say that if you could order a pitch tailor-made for Indian batsmen and, at the same time, the worst possible for the NZ attack, this would be it

Poor McKay, stuck with a bowling average in triple figures for at least a few weeks. Although his bowling fell away today, he deserves better.

Since it seems unlikely that New Zealand will bowl again, or at the very least, bowl competitively, it's worth looking at the stats.

Vettori: 14 wickets at 36.57
Martin: 9 wickets at 34.11
Southee: 4 wickets at 56.
Jeets: 3 wickets at 69
McKay: 1 wicket at 120
Arnel: No wickets
Bennett: No wickets

In Martin's case, all but one of those wickets were top order batsmen. Martin and Vettori standing heads and shoulders above the rest. Fair play to them, as they cop a lot of flak unfairly from Kiwi fans. While neither of them are top class bowlers, they do belong at test level, which you can't necessarily say for many other New Zealand bowlers today.
Also good to note that we haven't have a stack of injuries to bowlers. Before the start of the series I really thought we were not only going to get wallopped but could easily have a few injuries to guys like Vettori (ten million overs), Southee (young) and Arnel (injury history). But instead only Bennett was injured and it doesn't sound tooooo major.

Ah crap

PS: How good is Martin's history of not getting injured? It has seriously been his greatest contribution to the NZ team for many a year.

Hoppy in at three!

Silence the doubters, son. If you don't, I'm hopping off your bandwagon once and for all.

Yeah, he's been incredible. Which is a bit surprising since he has such a light frame.

Not Terrible
Haha Gareth with a last chance to prove he should be there against Pakistan. Also in the worst conditions he has had to bat in so far. Should be interesting.

Gutted we lost McIntosh as was hoping he would bore India to death tomorrow.

Another McIntosh-like series for him then, with scores of 0, 0, 102, 49, 4, 8 and an average of 27 (was unlucky to be given out on 49 though). Really is unique and should definitely stick around for another series.

Oh **** off Raina, I thought you used to be good at playing spin. :@
Raina and Yuvraj are Sagittarians. They belong to family of 3-6-9 (Raina B'Day 27 Nov, Yuvi 12 Dec). Both are Careless, Irresponsible and Restless. Racing, rallying etc naturally appeal to such restless souls not Cricket, thats why both are succesful in T20s :)

Imran Khan and Ian Botham born on the Scorpio/Sagittarius cusp.

Flintoff is Capricorn.
I am referring to Western Zodiac. Not Sidereal ones.

Imran - 25th Nov
Botham - 24th Nov
Flintoff - 6 Dec

Saggitarius covers from 22-Nov till 22-Dec according to Western Zodiac.
