*Official* Australia in India 2010

He could though, really. No need for it with the amount of allrounders New South Wales always field but his batting really improved when he moved to Sydney and had to slug it out in First Grade. Batted four Randwick and averaged high 40s I believe.
Was more making a point about the ridiculously strong batting lineup of the full strength (and even not-so-full strength) NSW FC lineup.

Honestly, not particularly. I mean it's not poor - he's always been a good First Class bat - but it was never really anything that screamed "Test batsman" at any point over other candidates, and he was only picked originally because Australia wanted to play four seamers in South Africa and he could act as the fifth bowler with his offies.

"Another Sinclair" would be doing Sinclair's domestic feats a great injustice.
Wasn't comparing his domestic feats to Skippy, but rather saying I thought he was a good domestic batsman who had a habit of all or nothing test innings that won't cut it long term.

So I was right.:p

Drawing a bit of a long bow though. Might as well say he's another Bradman because both of them are Australian batsmen. :p

Would also be doing the quality of Australian domestic cricket as opposed to Kiwi domestic cricket a great injustice too, tbh.

Sinclair would rip it up in Aussie domestics.

Would change nothing at test level though.

Though your guys system might have sorted some of his issues, and made him a test batsman.

Been a good viewing so far. Johnson's quickfire knock was perfect for us and Paine is going along quite nicely at the moment, I think Hilfy and Dougeh won't last too long here though and I could see Paine getting stuck in the 90's.

Punchable appeal from Harby there. I didn't even think it was as close as Hawkeye thought.

Paine gone back into his shell now. Odd. I'd have thought now would be time to press the peddle with Hilf in & only DtR to come.

Thought the same... until I realised how close we are to tea. Not much point now.

Hilf has other ideas, though.
