Ha. Atlough this a sarcastic point. Their is alot of truth in it.Aus reverse swung the ball in the last series, they just got it after 70 overs while Zak and co got it to reverse as early as the 20th over and it was ineffective since the batsmen had got the team to a good position. When Aus are bowling this time, the reverse swing that they will get is just going to be the difference between a 300+ score and a 400+ score. Aus will show a much better batting performance this time with Zak being rusty and the rest being out of form.
And hence, the series win(if Aus win) will not count since Zak is rusty, Ishant is in decline and Bhajji and the spinners are out of form. aussie rules of course.
Winning in IND now in this post Kumb/e/Harbhajan in decline period. Will indeed be slightly more easier than before. But if the IND are smart & prepare real dustbowls & pick a three-man spin attack of Bhaji/Ohja/Mishra - that can very well & assit those out of form spinners in being effective. Since although AUS batsmen have improved againts spin - they aren't as perfect today as they where in 2004 when they won in IND & SRI. So thats a tactic very much worth pursing - given the form of the quicks.
But if they dont & go for the likely conservative scenario of picking 2 quicks & 2 spinners, along with not having real dustbowls in the two test. It will just be average/poor tactics by IND, so if AUS win under those circumstances it will certainly count, since IND would not have made best use of their home advantage.
