*Official* Australia in India 2010

Despite the questionable quality of the Indian bowling, good to see the boys get the runs up. What happened to Katich though?
If batsmen "retire hurt" rather than "retire out" they get a nice little FC average boosting * next to their name. Would be 99.9% sure Katich and North will be right for the first test.

If this is a precedent of what's to come...we might actually have a chance of winning/drawing here.

What players where IND missing during that 1992 ENG tour to IND BTW?...
They weren't missing anyone. You set out a criteria that India would be a much weakened team with two of Raju/Chauhan/Bahutule/Joshi/Chopra etc.. and I showed it's not necessarily the case if the team steps up and performs. The 2001 series against Australia was another example. Hence, a couple of absences through injury is not an excuse and if you bring it up to discredit another side's victory, you will be rightly called out on it.

Let's end it here.

Let's not get over excited playing a board XI. Good to see we're playing were so far, but it's hardly Sehwag and Tendulkar we're bowling at.

Indeed. That's why I want to be watching to see how they're bowling in actuality.

This is a pretty strong Board President XI TBF. I'd be getting pretty excited if India performed like this in a warmup on a tour to Australia against an equivalent side. Not that our braindead Board would have the good sense to schedule one though, and we'd inevitably get caught cold in the first Test. 8-)

Pujara, Rahane, Tiwary, Mukund - Are they really as good as there first class records suggest? When you see someone like Virat Kohli who averages mid 50's in FC cricket enter international cricket and do fairly well one wonders if these players are just as good if not better then him. I've seen a little bit of Pujara in 20/20 cricket and from what I've seen he looks like a talent, but I really can't make much of a judgement of just that.

Where abouts can we get scores guys? Don't even know how we finished up. And who's taken the wickets for us please?

All the pacers got wickets, Hilf and George got two each. 6/143 in reply to 505, North smashed (and I mean smashed) 124 retired.
