Heel Cole is awesome. So glad he started transitioning the character onto Raw as well
Haha, kind of reminds me of the job Paul Heyman used to do actually. Probably a good move for Cole to go down this route really, he sure as hell needed some way to freshen his character up as he was getting stale as. Always quite liked him back in the early days when he first started doing Smackdown, but he's begun to grate with me over the last few years. Some of his botches from his earlier days where hilarious though. I think it was at Invasion where the Dudleys did some sort of double-team reverse suplex on someone and Cole called out "OMG 3D!"....an awkward silence followed, with JR then chipping in with "well.....an inverted version of it anyway...."

Stone Cold beating the crap out of him on Smackdown one week was pretty lulzy as well.

I bet he didn't press charges on Stone Cold though!

The whole segment was brilliant. The way the IWC has been worked by the whole Daniel Bryan run on NXT has been amazing. You know there were loads of people last week adamant that Bryan's backstage interview on a taped show was a shoot

WWE Superstar Carlito (Carlos Colon) has been released from his World Wrestling Entertainment contract as of today May 21, 2010. Carlito’s termination was due to his first violation of the WWE Wellness Program and his subsequent refusal to attend a rehabilitation facility.
Oh dear, imagine this is long overdue tbh. Bit of a shame, really enjoyed watching him when he was actually given a run as a credible midcarder, in fact he was one of the main reasons I actually bothered to watch any of RAW between 2005-2007. Ah well, was dead wood on the Roster for long while now, imagine he will be back sooner or later.

When RAW heads to Miami on 6/7, the hosts will be "A-Team" cast members Bradley Cooper, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Sharlto Copley. Cooper has become one of cinema's most recognizable comedy talents, starring in such hits as "He's Just Not That Into You," "The Hangover" and "Valentine's Day." Copley's resume is fairly limited (the only other major film on his resume is "District 9"), while "Rampage" is one of UFC's most popular fighters. He will be fighting Rashad Evans on pay-per-view the week prior.
May have to give this one a watch. Hopefully Jackson'll appear as himself, and not as his A-Team character. If he appears as Rampage it's going to be brilliant, he's one of the most entertaining, funny and charismatic guys in sport.

Well, see as it is coming up tonight and I have nothing better to do, I thought I would post my predictions for tonight's Over the Limit PPV.

I Quit Match for the WWE Title - Batista vs. John Cena
: Surely is going to be a Cena win, particularly if rumours about Batista wanting out of the company are true. Should be a decent match whatever happens, but yeah, Cena to retain here.

World Heavyweight Title Match - Big Show vs. Jack Swagger
: Must also surely be a successful title defence for Swagger here. As he's taken defeats on TV a few times recently he will surely pick up the win over Show, who in this case appears to be about the most obvious fodder challenger I have ever seen.

WWE Intercontinental Title Match - Kofi Kingston vs. Drew McIntyre: Hmmm, by no means clear cut or obvious, but I would favour McIntyre to retain here. Leading to a rematch a month later or something. Maybe a dusty finish with this one. Should again be a decent enough watch. Maybe a Matt Hardy run in or something too.

WWE Unified Tag Team Title Match - Chris Jericho & The Miz vs. The Hart Dynasty: Hmmm, not entirely sure again. Would say Hart's to retain, but it's not often we get a PPV where all of the major titles are successfully retained. Harts to retain by a DQ perhaps, setting up some Miz/Jericho/Bret angle for later on.

WWE Divas Title Match - Maryse vs. Eve Torres: Doubt this will be much good, shame Gail Kim wasn't thrown in somehow to actually make it a good watch. Eve to retain.

SES Pledge vs. Punk's Hair - Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk: Really want Punk to win this as that would have a lot of interesting storyline ramifications, but the heel never prevails when this type of stip is on the line, and I doubt the E would want to lessen the marketability of Rey to the kids who like all the mask merchandise etc... Rey to win.

Edge vs. Randy Orton
: Should probably be the match of the night, with any luck anyway. Clearly not the last time these two will face off, this is only the beginning of this feud. Edge to get the win here.

R-Truth vs. Ted DiBiase: Looks like poor old Truth will do the job for Ted here, bit of a shame as Truth hasn't really been given any meaningful program to work since coming abck to the E, but at least he is on a PPV card and being given some exposure. Ted Di Biase to get the win as a near dead cert here though.

Would also suggest that as Sheamus does not have a match, the chances of him attempting to attack Cena after his match are quite high, setting up Cena vs Sheamus for the next PPV, whatever that might be called these days. A lack of Christian on the card is a bit dissapointing as well.

Haha what was? A quick read of the event report makes it sound like a reasonable enough show.
I'm guessing he means Randy Orton dislocating his shoulder while punching the mat before pulling of an RKO. That was strange. I've never seen a wrestler injured performing their signature mannerism.

Yeah, I was talking about Randy. He injured himself (lol) and they then spent like 3 minutes not knowing what to do until they went with the double count out finish when the count was at 6.

Rey Rey-Punk was amazing, amazing, amazing

Cena-Big Dave was great as well

Shame about Randy. Some sources on the web are claiming he injured his shoulder earlier in the match, not convinced

Ha, decent Raw, Bret GM, R-Truth US Champ

Not enthralled with the Fatal 4 Way concept but I'm off work the day after so I'll be watching that one live. Looking forwards to NXT tomorrow anyhow, Cole calling out Bryan. Actually I probably won't see it til Thurs but whatever

NXT was amazing and Bryan Danielson is money. Every segment he is in steals the show and he brings to WWE something that has been lacking for so long, real emotion.

Bryan's promos and his segments don't come off as forced as the rest of WWE does and he has a really good natural charisma that nobody else in WWE has.

Look at it this way, when you watch a Bryan Danielson promo you see reality, you see a real person. When you hear John Cena, Triple H or The Miz give a promo you get a cartoon character.

Every segment he is in has you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. I'm loving what the WWE have done so far with Bryan Danielson and he comes across as the most real person in the entire WWE.

Hearing about the Orton injury reminds me of Triple H doing his quad taking a step
Tbf to Orton, from watching it, he looked like he had it hurt going in to the match and aggrevated it doing his stupid RKO build up.

That's a bit harsh on Cena etc... imo, but I understand the point you are making and agree with it more or less. I really enjoy this outside of kayfabe type thing that they have going on at the moment, and now that I'm not enjoying wrestling for the same reasons I did when I was younger these angles are what really keep me interested. This is one of the fresher and more emotive storylines since the Edge/Matt Hardy thing a few years back. Will be keeping a very keen eye on the way this develops.

WWE superstar Batista, who is parting ways with the wrestling promotion for the time being, is training for a possible career in Mixed Martial Arts.
Really hope this is true. Would surely end in him getting a comple ass-whooping. Something I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to see.
