Jeff Hardy needs the machine behind him, I think both his TNA spells have shown us that
Yeah, I think you are right, there is something very appealing about the way he seemed a genuine underdog fighting against the odds in the WWE. Whereas in TNA he is the franchise player in a company that lacks credibility.

On a side note, as I am very bored and have been at home alone for the last few days I watched all of WMXX today, even the dire tag team and divas matches. Enjoy the Eddie/Kurt match more and more each time I see it.

In fact..just remembered it was over the limit last night, will have a quick look at the results now..and will remember not to post them. As I have piss all to do for the rest of the week I may as well stay up and watch RAW tonight as well, hoorah.

Edit: appears it is in fact next week...I see..

Just had a look at the results from TNA's Sacrifice ppv from last night. A solid if uninspiring effort. Sting vs Jarret is probably the match I would most like to see from it, but still, it's been done to death already. And also...The Band vs Shannon Moore and his buddy? WTF, I don't want to see the Band full stop, but if I have to let's at least see them against someone who isn't a total jobber. Also, this whole Orlando Jordan thing...deary me.

Ha, I have WM XX pencilled in for a drinking session on Sat night, short on cash so it's a good time of the month for such activities

Stacked up on wrestling DVDs with this incentive scheme in work. Owen all PPVs from 2000 to mid-2002 and all of the modern mania (i.e. 2000 onwards) up to 23. When I get next month's points I'm going to get Manias 24, 25, 26 and then after that I'll go back and buy the first two anthology boxes, will be a full set more or less then. And then I can carry on buying the PPVs from 02 through to the modern day. So much stuff you forget, some that you're glad you did and others that you're like, wow this is good

For example, Triple H V Kane Chain Match Judgment Day 2001 - bloody brilliant, well better than expected

Angle V Benoit from the same PPV? Disappointing, but it was always going to be when you knew how good their matches were a couple of years later

Thanks Pratters

Nah on a serious note.... that is pretty awesome tbf, I would like to get a load of the DVDs between this period, find myself wishing that I hadn't taped over a load of the old recorded VHS ppvs I had from those years more and more these days.

Funnily enough I was actually thinking of that chain match the other day for some reason, and Kane's failed run in during the main event. I remember thinking at the time that it was a good match actually, but I don't think I've ever watched it since. Didn't realise that Angle and Benoit had a match on the same card though, had forgotten all about it, just remember the tag team turmoil match from later in the night. And the Raw from the following night, was such an amazing main event.

Just watched the end of the aforementioned RAW match now, so so good, so many twists and turns. Remember I had my heart in my mouth when I watched it on TV back in 2001, so many near falls and close calls. Remember jumping out of my chair when it was finally over. The crowd reaction when Jericho pulls the referee out of the ring has to be my favourite bit. Those were the days. :D

Shall give that a watch later I think. Triple H's quad goes in that one doesn't it?

As for the Pratters comment...I've only planned out one viewing, I just know what I'm going to buy :p

Yes that's the very one. Gets put in the walls of Jericho afterwards as well, must have hurt like hell. Might have to watch it again, so many ups and downs. Probably my favourite RAW match actually, big claim maybe, but it really is up there. Might have to do a list of favourite ever RAW matches actually...will work on that later maybe, going to watch last night's RAW in a min.

Haha, oh I love it when RAW is filmed in Canada, have only watched the first half hour but it has already been a great show.

Raw was great this week. It's always great when WWE holds events in Canada. The crowd were very excited and there were some great matches and moments. Edge vs Christian was a dream match for all the fans in Toronto as two local favourites battled it out in an awesome match.

I'm kind of surprised they gave the match away on Raw and not a PPV but it made sense as the show was in Toronto. Bret Hart winning the United States Championship was great to see. It's likely Bret will vacate the title and we could have a tournament that's held. Jack Swagger vs Randy Orton was a great match too.

NXT was awesome this week too. Bryan Danielson is money. To those who say he has no charisma or can't cut a promo, watch his promo this week. Nothing was off topic and it was one of the best worked shoots I've seen on WWE. Bryan Danielson saying with great pride that he was a self made man and that he is the best man for the job regardless of Vince McMahon's preference for the bigger guys was so good.

I loved the expressions on William Regal and CM Punk's faces when Bryan said that he is better than The Miz. With Regal having trained Bryan and CM Punk having faced him so many times on the independent circuit it was great to see them both agree with Bryan. His beatdown of Michael Cole was pretty logical too after all the tension that has been brewing over the past few weeks.

It seems like they have something special with Bryan Danielson. A guy who is arguably one of the greatest technical wrestlers in the world, who has charisma, presence and knows how to connect with the audience. I'm hoping they push him and he achieves big things in the WWE.

Ah mb, was hoping you'd have already posted...just watched NXT now, wow wow wow! So good :D

Best episode yet and one of the most compelling bits of television I have seen this year. For someone with 'no mic skills' Danielson has cut two amazing promos. Him going sick on Michael Cole was immense. More please.

Haha actually quite keen to see this, was going to record NXT this week but decided against it, is it repeated at any point?

Also how long as this heel turn of sorts for Michael Cole been going on for? It's quite interesting, him moaning about how Bret Hart should have stayed home and pretty much insinuating that he was a coward for having the Hart Dynasty beat up this Miz was kind of weird. Not sure I really like the way Bret was made champion, a nice move for the fans and for Bret, and it probably won't really do the Miz any long term harm either, but something about it does not sit right with me.

NXt hasn't aired on TV in the UK yet - it's on Sky Sports tomorrow night

As for the Bret thing, get over it, it was an awesome thng to do for the Canadian fans and a nice way of just giving Bret that one final thing. It took three people to take Miz's title off him, and we should get a nice tournament from this, maybe even some Bryan Danielson involvement....it's just fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine

I'm too out of touch with what time what show is broadcast, I have been away too long.

Loved Jericho using the "I'm the best there is, the best there was...." catchphrase on RAW too, WAG. The pop he got when he came out was great too. Oh how I like that man.

I'll see if I can youtube some of it tomorrow, the novelty of having endless free time is already wearing off, so I will try fill some of it up with that tomorrow.

JR new Raw GM IMO, and he signs Danielson
Hahaha that would be absolutely epic. "You're just a poor man's JR" WAG. Cole actually did a really good job at selling the whole thing on the mic, didn't think he had the charisma in him to make a good job of it, but it was very believable and snide. Great segment allround.
