A mate of mine who's selling his PS3 offered me his SD vs Raw 2010 for a fiddy. Anyone played it? Worth a punt?

What's a fiddy?

Regardless anyway, if you're not that fond of him then yeah, go for a punt and then leg it with the game

Yeah, it's decent. Presentation got a major upheaval, and the Road to Wrestlemania storylines are pretty good.

Get it if it's cheap.

Fiddy=50. So half price from what EB is selling it at.

Just picked it up, should bide me over till Undisputed hits town.

This thread is a bit quiet but I'll try to keep it going. Smackdown was great this week and the opening match for the Intercontinental Championship was one of the better television matches in recent memory.

I like the idea of Drew McIntyre getting his title back as it sets up a logical match at the PPV against Kofi Kingston. The babyface chasing the heel for the title always works better than the heel challenger. I thought Jack Swagger was hilarious in his segment too.

Happy for Layla as well as she's Women's Champion. She may not be a great wrestler but for some reason, she's always been one of my favourite divas.

Yeah, was a decent show. Christian and Kofi putting a match like that on really helped Drew build heat. The IWC hated on Drew getting stripped of the title last night but I always say you should wait and see where they are going with something before it gets written off - it was really good booking in the end.

Swagger was pure gold in his segment. He's like a cross between Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho at the minute, my personal favourite was when he showed us "The Swaggie".

Layla's a decent worker, was really surprised by how well she could go in the ring when given time when I saw her at a house show. Beth's injury must be a bad one though as I think they wanted her to have a run with the belt after waiting so long to put it on her.

Over The Limit isn't shaping up too badly. I won't be paying for it though as I have to work the next day and will not pay £15 for something I can't watch live. Fancy Cena & Swagger to retain and Edge to win at this point.

Also, as Bret obviously isn't going to wrestle The Miz, I think he may get Brian Danielson to take his place...

If Bryan Danielson were to beat The Miz and become the new United States Champion live on Raw this Monday, the entire internet would probably explode in happiness. Would love to see it happen but I'm not so sure that it will. Makes perfect sense from a storyline perspective though.

Sorry about not posting much in here recently guys, haven't seem to have had the motivation for posting much on here for a while, nor the time to do it, hopefully now that my exams are over I should have some more time to dedicate to you :p .

Not really seen much wrestling for a while now, but I'm back at home for more than a week, so I'll be able to watch all of the shows this week. Not going to go for the PPV though, unless I can be bothered to stream it.

All in all things actually seem to be going pretty well storyline-wise etc... from what I can tell from looking at the results each week. Am really enjoying the look of the Smackdown draft tbh, from a wrestling perspective it seems to have got masses of potential and has provided a load of the young guys with a good chance to get over.

As a side point, is there any indication as to how long this guest host thing on RAW is going to continue? I was under the impression that it was meant to end after Wrestlemania for some reason, but it's still going on. Which is a bit dire imo, as more often than not the hosts are really poor scraping the barrel kind of thing.

Well the guest host no longer has any actual authority as Vickie is back as the Raw GM. She did actually resign at the end of Raw but announced on Smackdown that she's the Raw GM so I'm guessing she's carrying on. With that being said, there's no harm in the guest hosts now I guess as they aren't really impacting on storylines.

GIMH was that you who posted one of the comments in the Smackdown report on 411mania? If it was you I think I'd pretty much agree with everything you've said.

Reading the comments on that site always gives me a headache and generally wrestling fans on the internet are the stupidest people who do not understand the wrestling business at all.

The majority of fans hating on Drew McIntyre and Jack Swagger is baffling, and these people are the ones who wanted new stars to be created in the first place!

Haha yes, that was me, didn't realise it had been published yet. I don't know why I read that site it just gets me angry but there's usually some good amongst it all!

Awesome, so I guessed right based on your username here! I find 411mania is probably the best source for news but I hate reading comments on there. Although there was a guy called Mysterious on 411mania who would pretty much give away the results to every WWE PPV. It was pretty obvious that he worked for the WWE either as a writer or as a wrestler. I don't think he posts there anymore but it was always cool to read his posts and he would always be right.

Yeah, the news is normally fairly reliable and you don't get irrelevant news like on the other wrestling sites.

I enjoy some of the columns as well but some of the writers are fairly clueless. Saw a Flair match from 2005 listed a one of Flair's top ten ever matches the other day

Do you post on there?

It seems pretty obvious that a lot of them just started watching over the last couple of years and have been trying to catch up on their wrestling history. As for me, I read the site pretty regularly but never post in the comments section. I find the comment secton to be really poor and mostly full of stupid fans who don't understand the wrestling business.

Oh without doubt. Look, there's nothing wrong with being new to wrestling, I mean I took a couple of years out of the game so I won't claim to have seen everything ever. It's when the writers are acting like complete authorities on wrestling and then they'll talk about a match from 06 and go "this was the first match I ever saw...."

Agree with you there mate. I think it's perfectly okay to be new to wrestling but it is annoying when you are a writer of any kind whether it be news journalism, entertainment, sports or wrestling your work is always fair game so you have to do your research and produce good quality work that can be backed up otherwise you deserve the criticism that you get.

I don't think anybody really gets to watch everything, I've been in and out over the past few years as well but if you are a writer then at least do some research especially with wrestling being so accessible on Youtube.

Watched Impact last night, seems to have got a bit better since I last watched. Quite enjoy the way they are shooting a load of the promos at the moment, through windows and not as if stuff in the back only ever happens when a camera man is there to record it all etc... Other than that though, I still can't be arsed to really make myself care about all of this. I don't really have a problem with RVD as their world champion, had he been given a bit of a longer build up I think him taking the strap away from AJ would have been a great decision. But, there is something about seeing Jeff Hardy on TNA that just does not seem right, something just does not sit right with me, his star quality seems to have taken a massive hit since leaving WWE somehow. And seeing Ken Anderson over there is just straight up pissing me off somehow, his pshyco character just doesn't work for me, he would be so much better suited to an Edge style ****y scheming gimmick rather than this total maniac thing..... something just is not right.
