Extreme Rules tomorrow as well, so I'll do my tips and what not now.
Shad V JTG
Ha, if you'd told me a month ago that this would have been on PPV I'd have been a bit, um,
. But I'll hand it to them, they have done a decent job of making this feud watchable. I think Shad is going to get a decent heel push so he'll go over here.
Oh and I don't really like strap matches so it's a shame they haven't gone for a different stip but I'll live.
Winner: Shad
Michelle McCool V Beth Phoenix (Women's title, Extreme Makeover Match)
Not really sure what the stip is, possibly an Extreme Rules match but with household objects as weapons? Dunno. The diva's division doesn't excite me but these are probably the two best workers on Smackdown, with only Maryse and Gail who can match them over on the red brand, IMO. Beth has been after this title shot for ages, it's been built okay as for as women's stuff goes, and I'm thinking Beth will get the win.
Winner: Beth Phoenix
Edge V Chris Jericho (Steel Cage Match)
This should be all kinds of super-awesome, it's as simple as that. I think this is the blow-off, so Edge gets the win I think. Promo in the cage last night was top.
Winner: Edge
Triple H V Sheamus (Street Fight)
Another Mania match, and I thought they did an okay job there. The build for this has been hurt a little by the bloody volcano and Triple H not being in the UK the week before thanks to Stephanie going into labour. Sheamus got good heat by attacking Triple H as he was trying to say goodbye to HBK and they did do the little interaction between sledgehammer and steel pipe. Think this could be okay, tipping a win for Sheamus.
Winner: Sheamus
CM Punk V Rey Mysterio (Hair match)
Well anyone who read my ramblings on the house show I attended will know my thoughts on this feud. This match should be all kinds of awesome with them getting 10 minutes more than they did at Mania, I would imagine. Punk looks hideous with those lost strands of hair and it makes me think he'll lose, but I'm not sure. Punk to Raw is on the cards IMO, where a Randy-sized hole needs filling in the heel department, but I'd like to see these get one more go on PPV. Oh, so not sure. Anyway, regardless of the outcome, this should be great, how could it not be?
Winner: Rey Rey
Jack Swagger V Randy Orton (WHC title, Extreme Rules match)
These two had a great match on Raw a couple of weeks back. Full-on official face Orton on PPV will be great. I don't want him to win the title yet, I think it'd be awesome if he had a long chase for it and the fans went crazy when he finally won it again. I'm expecting a good match anyhow, and I think they are building up Swagger as a guy who loses a lot but wins when it matters, like Ric Flair.
Winner: Jack Swagger
John Cena V Batista (WWE title, Last Man Standing)
This feud has been great, even accounting for the fact that the E has spent more time replaying segments than doing new stuff. But yeah, everytime they have faced off, I loved it. Heel Batista is a breath of fresh air, intense Cena is Cena at his best IMO. All rumours point to Batista taking time off. I'm not so sure. It should be another really good match although I don't think they'll top their Mania effort. Cena will retain here, I reckon.
Winner: John Cena
Actually looks like a really good card, I won't be watching live but I'm sky+ing it Sunday night so I'll be avoiding this thread Monday. No Miz makes me a sad puppy, I think they were going to do ShoMiz-Hart Dynasty but the volcano sidetracked the programme. Nonetheless, there's a couple of filler matches but as with Mania the card is packed with main event talent.
