Would have to disagree. Hogg with the white ball & red ball where two different bowlers TBF. I have read a few batsmen/posters (vic_orthodox a few years back) say that Hogg's variations are a lot harder to pick (specifically the wrong'un) with the white ball, because the contrast between the colours of the seam and the ball aren't as distinctive as with the red ball, so batsmen find him a lot easier to pick in FC cricket. It's unfortunate that Brad Hogg did not have a long career. If he was playing for any other country would have taken 350+ wickets and scored 4000+ runs. Warne and MacGill were better bowlers though, but in recent times (last 25 years) he's probably the best left arm spin bowler (although a chinaman).
So i doubt seriously if he could have been an reached these spin-bowling all-rounder levels like Vettori. Especially given that he only really began to peak as bowler around 2003. He wasn't really dominant in domestic cricket.
