**Official** Pakistan in New Zealand (3 tests)

Not Terrible
Aameer has a wicket off each of his first overs in this tour - interesting fact

Why does Guptill struggle so much at tests yet dominates ODI's is it a mental thing?
He has actually played more one day cricket than first class cricket. That and batting isn't easy against the red ball for openers.

Move over Daryl Tuffey, theres a new first over wicket taking sensation...

Take away the two ducks in his last two test innings and his test career is reasonable in terms of making a start and initially seeing off the new ball - but then being dismissed so perhaps an issue in concentration and batting long periods in a form of the game where theres plenty of time to construct an innings. Might be worth noting hes only ever scored one first class century.

I doubt getting out to a ball like that is a mental thing. Not a lot he could've done. As McMillan said, he did bloody well to hit it.

Yeah but he bats for longer periods in ODI's...

Depends what you define as long periods to be fair, aside from his debut hundred against the West Indies his next longest ODI innings consisted of 76 deliveries, which in the context of a first class or test match is far from a sustained period.

And Pakistan have got the drops already...thats another shocking miss. Would've been a massive setback if we were to be reduced to 2/2.

^ McIntosh out. Not such good stuff.

After the terrible drop from Salman Butt in Asif's last over, fair to say that Asif did deserve a wicket to his name - just a shame its another failure for our top order batsmen.

Crap, come back to the cricket and we're two down already :(.

Flynn and Taylor will save us though - hundred each

:@ Can't see Taylor lasting much longer if Aamer stays on, he's going back just about every ball.

Tbh with the amount of times Taylor comes in at 2/sfa he could almost bat three if Flynn keeps being crap. Then we could make room for the half a million 4/5/6s that score all the runs domestically.
