Haven't paid much attention to the Sky game tbh, had Notts - Worcs on commentary (Notts finished 7 short with three wickets in hand), and then the 1998-99 Ashes on ESPN. Mark Ramprakash going to his 50 with a 6 off Colin Miller.

Strange climax at Hove. Claydon bowls a slower ball which doesn't register on the pitch and then Blackwell bowls a head height moon ball which the Sussex batsman ends up playing with the wrong side of his bat. Laughably bad stuff.

Not the best of starts for Durham in reply - they'll soon forget this game if they end up winning the CC though.

Don't like watching him bat but you can't argue with his performances, especially when his facing an international leggie and far more esteemed batsman like Human are failing.

Get him on the A tour with Northeast.
who is clearly not international class, its like praising someone for scoring a ton against monty.

I'm not the biggest fan of Kaneria and I think Pakistan are better off without him but he currently has match figures of 9 for 100 odd on a turning wicket, so when a 19 year old kid is able to combat that and make hay, I think he deserves some praise.

Anyone who has seen Kaneria bowl over here, especially in OD cricket, will realise he's a cut above your average spinner. International class on pitches that aren't complete roads for me.

Word. I cringe everytime i see Kaneria taking a big haul in CC these days..
Hmm, so you cringe when someone who has got 232 Test wickets takes a few in the second division of the County Championship. sheesh8-)

Anyway, Tresco gets another ton, must have been dropped a lot this season.

Kartik opening for Middlesex, something wrong with Sam Robson? Other then he's Australian of course:)

Nottinghamshire's Alex Hales looks a talent. Very adventurous batsman and bats in the PowerPlays unlike many of his English contemporaries. Big fellow as well, must be 6'4 easy.

A tour with Northeast and Taylor, who is the runs again for Leicestershire.

Still could be a positive result in the game at the Rose Bowl. Somerset still 70 odd runs away from avoiding the follow-on and Tahir's taken five. His fourth of the season, not bad considering his only played ten games and statistically struggled.

Notts, Jack Shantry (brother of Glamorgan's Adam Shantry) bowling action is a spitting image of Sohail Tanvir. Not got the same kind of novelty factor that Tanvir has because he doesn't generate the pace or get the swing.

Fantastic 100 from Hales. Refreshing to see him carry on with a positive approach despite wickets falling around him.

232 wickets at almost 35. Whether he takes wickets in D1 or D2. Just like Mushtaq all they doing is adding wickets to their FC aggregates, our batsmen still are poor agants leg-spin. So his presence isn't helping our FC system.

But if he wasn't there, they would have no exposure to leg-spin and been even worse off.

Also, Mushy was a fantastic leg-spin. He didn't do himself justice on the international stage but he wasn't no hack.

Yea, but in the time he has been here. Nothing has changed

But when he was called up by PAK in 2003 vs SA. He looked looking below par in tests. So him causing havoc on the circuit has been a big abberation.
