RR decided they'd like Shaun Marsh Mark II. Didn't really come to fruition.Quiney eating up deliveries. Why is he playing, again?
Because he's a Victorian?Quiney eating up deliveries. Why is he playing, again?
Still, has a rubbish T20 record for Victoria too. In all other cases, Rajasthan seem to be playing the T20 specialists. So I don't get why not in this one.Quiney is all class. Don't be so foolish as to judge a player on their first few matches in a new country.
Rubbish record? Maybe overall as he's new but look at his record from last season, was quite good and he's one of the classiest limited overs players on the domestic circuit in Aus. Don't be so quick to dismiss.Still, has a rubbish T20 record for Victoria too. In all other cases, Rajasthan seem to be playing the T20 specialists. So I don't get why not in this one.

Which indicates he's had a slow start to the career but it's finally taken off recently. Not sure why anything above the recent is relevant at all when a player has clearly gone to the next stage. Bit like brining Flintoff career stats and saying he's a crap bowler. Not all players can hit the ground running in the IPL and I respect Warne for sticking with him.Rubbish T20 record except in 2008-9.
I don't doubt he's a good limited overs player, but I do think T20 is different. And I think recognising that was Rajasthan's strength last year.
Well to me it looks like he had a single good knock.Which indicates he's had a slow start to the career but it's finally taken off recently. Yeah, I suppose. I'd just like to see a bit of a shake-up somewhere in the batting before it's too late for the semis, because Yusuf apart it's been awful. And from what I've seen, Quiney, Smith and Asnodkar probably the most vulnerable.Which indicates he's had a slow start to the career but it's finally taken off recently. Year min.Warne's shot struck Oram hard on the palm.
Oram out for six months?
Yeah, I'd agree with this. The problem with batting through (in ODIs too but moreso in T20) is that when you try to do it you usually get out anyway, and end up with an innings of 15 off 20 that puts big pressure on the lower order to score quick from ball one. Then, when it comes off, you still pressurise everyone around you to deal with the burden of upping the run-rate even when they're not well set- and a 70 off 60 isn't exactly a match-winning knock anyway.Actually, looking at Quiney in more detail, he doesn't strike the fastest, SR of 125 last season. Perhaps the problem is more the combination of Smith and Quiney, that they're both people who do the same kind of job. Maybe just pick whichever of Smith and Quiney is the best fielder, and then look to add in someone who is a bit more of a hitter.
Trouble is if they get rid of him who do they open the bowling with?Raina striking some form! 98 of 55, I can imagine how he would have played .... Will chk the highlights if I can find some time
on the other hand, RR can consider playing a specialist overseas batsman in place of Dimi. I know Dimi is performing well with the ball but RR needs a decent batsman badly
Munaf, Kamran and Trivadi .... may be Atul SharmaTrouble is if they get rid of him who do they open the bowling with?
They need a lot more from the Indian players, they foreign players can't do everything.
