Had to get another Wallabies player in there, and Finegan was one of the most influential Australia forwards over the last decade. All but completes my forward pack, only need a no.8 now

Interesting to see a couple fringe Australian players getting selected in these sides. Tempted to pick one on the wing.

I'll select Ken Gray at #1. He's generally regarded by most Kiwi's I've talked to as their greatest ever prop. I'm suprised he's been left this late! I wonder had I not picked him, would he have been picked at all??? Anyway Gray played on the loose-head side in the 1967 tour to the UK. He apparently was so indispensible to the All Blacks they once picked him when he had an injured leg.

Anyway I left my front-row a bit late because I figured there'd be some greats that would be left out. So what I have is England's greatest ever prop in Francis Cotton and New Zealand's greatest ever prop in Ken Gray. Niether would look out of place in an all-time side.

So I have...

1. Ken Gray
3. Francis Cotton
4. Gordon Brown
5. Willie John McBride
6. Ian Kirkpatrick
7. Jan Ellis
8. Zinzan Brooke
9. Ken Catchpole
10. Cliff Morgan
12. Mannetjies Roux
13. Jo Maso
14. Gerald Davies
15. Gerrie Brand

It's all for nothing because Indipper's won this already...

You rate this side as the best?

Indipper
Ian McLauchlan (#1)
Peter Wheeler (#2)
Iain Milne (#3)
Benoit Dauga (#4)
Frik du Preez (#5)
Alan Whetton (#6)
Fergus Slattery (#7)
Mervyn Davies (#8)
Dave Loveridge (#9)
Jackie Kyle (#10)
Ieuan Evans (#14)
Serge Blanco (#15)

I haven't heard of half the players, so they probably are.

Turns out Dale has picked his backrow. Does that mean I can pick my backrower. Neil Back (#7), England. Wanted my 2nd flanker to know how to find the line, but this guy also goes all day long. Did some research and found out Pienaar played blindside, so they slot in nicely together and they don't have to worry about the numbers on their backs.

Os du Randt (#1)
Sean Fitzpatrick (#2)
Topo Rodriguez (#3)
Ian Jones (#4)
Francois Pienaar (#6)
Neil Back (#7)
Toutai Kefu (#8)
George Gregan (#9)
Phil Bennett (#10)
Joe Roff (#11)
Matt Giteau (#12)
Tana Umaga (13)
Don Clarke (#15)
