Gayle drops one. Tough chance. Beautiful ball by Benn. He's toiling hard.
Hardly a beautiful ball IMO, just a shortish one that went straight through and which Strauss should've left or gone hard at. Either way, Strauss has now had at least 2, maybe 3, let-offs.

LOL at "F---" over the stump mic, and then at Cozier's masterful "exasperation for Sulieman Benn..."
Filter-avoidance from a mod, shocking stuff. Either way, I just tend to count one shout after a dropped catch as the same as another whatever's "said". Mostly it just tends to be an annoyed yell, with little distinguishable.

Can't win 'em all.

Seriously, though, if England don't make at the very least 550 here, we'll know there's a big problem. Strauss has had enough let-offs, he surely can't get another one. Shah has a massive chance to absolutely assure himself a good run in the side, and Pietersen on short boundaries like this obviously has potential for carnage.

BIG chance here and it just cannot afford to be missed. Unlikely to win the match on such a flat deck but it just has to be a cashing-in-on-what-you've-got scenario.

BTW, Ian Allen played 2 Tests in 1991 as a replacement for Patrick Patterson.

Thank god Miller et al had the cojones to drop Bell or we'd be stuck with him forever after he tonned up on this featherbed.

Spectacular misreading of the surface all round it seems.

Tests at The ARG do tend to be dreary affairs.

This has all the makings of a 550-plays-550. Hope I'm wrong, but that's wicket #1. No century again for Cook. Super catch.
