So gun Carney will comeback to Australia just in time, when Orford retires. Though it would have been better if Raiders weren't a bunch of cry babies and just released him and allowed him to play for another team.
Actutally thinking Lockyer should retire at the end of 2009, we 2/3rd's of his contract at Carney and the rest as a top up to Karmichaels current deal and everyone is happy.

The Raiders did the right thing, why would you want to release someone because they've been a royal pain in the arse while at the club and then have him playing against you two weeks later? Carney gets the punishment he deserved and hopefully other players will have a good hard look at themselves when doing something like this now the punishment is possibly having to leave Australia to play for a while when that may not be what they want to do.

Interesting interview with Sonny Bill Mundine last night. He did well to spend almost an hour talking and end up saying not much, although given who he's hanging around with it was interesting to see 'man' and him referring to himself in the third person appear a lot in his conversation with Weidler.

Apparently even he doesn't understand the problem was that he snuck out on his club.

What type of crowd are the Dogs expecting for their home match against the Cowboys in Brisbane Saturday night?

With the first day of the Olympics on, the Broncos playing directly before the Dogs-Cows match, the EKKA on, no SBW, teams coming last and second last,
the match live on FOX, I reckon the crowd might be about 4000.

As Benny Elaias would say "He's not exactly a rocket surgeon".

I like how he said it was pretty 'ballsy' to up and leave like he did.

Well no, ballsy would be fronting up to your teammates and club and telling them face to face that you're about to leave them in the lurch.

Melbourne v Manly was the game of the season for mine. Manly were relentless and just came at them all night. However, the Storm just refused to let them in and with a couple of Cronk and Slater specials were able to get the points. Hope the grand final matches up to it whether they're the two teams or not.

Other game was pretty good too. Might just move me to the top of the tipping leaderboard.

$25 on Storm/Tigers multi paying $3.39, easy money to be hard. Dragons are such a myth.

They're not a myth imo, they're just inconsistent and unpredictable. Ignoring their win over the Storm during origin, they've beaten two full-stength top 3 sides. They can be awesome on their day.

Orford learn how to kick ******, when Carney signing up. Worst halfback ever. I want Ferris back, atleast he could score a couple tons during the summer.

What punishment, he goes to ESL and earns more money. Then comes back and plays for a half decent club (any club in NRL is better then Raiders, they will always be a 6-10 side) and proabably plays Orgin.

End of day I reckon he always knew there was a positive to getting sacked or forcing the club to let him play finals. Really when he comes back he will be at his peak and probably at a stage in his career where he can really push for Orgin. The next two season he would be so close, but so far from both Orgin and a title chance at Raiders. That season wont mean anything in the long run.

Yeah he has a drinking problem, but it not like no other players in NRL have one. It just guys like him and Smith get caught out as they where bigish name players. If they are just our average player no one would care.

They don't get caught out because they're name players, it's because they're ****ing douches and act like it. I drink a ****load, but I don't go pissing on ****s.

I've seen/heard of reserve grade guys do that kind of stuff all the time and nothing happens to them. Probably helps that Toovs is out there egging them on still, but still.

Haha, Manly = chokers.
How are we chokers we lost by six points and weren't even big favorites. Yeah we are ****ed if we can't beat Melbourne at home atleast. Just got to hope that Broncos or someone can knock them off. Then we don't choke when we are favorities.

Though tbh that match and Roosters shows that we aren't a better a side then last season. Just a better side at beating crap sides. We had a lot better big match temperment last season, apart from the final off course.

Orford a choker though, worst kicking game I've seen live since, well one round one this season versus Sharks. Even Slater a better kicker then him.

I was just pulling your leg :p

Yeah when the going gets tough Orford is not the man to have. As a Storm fan I thought we were ****** when Orford went to Manly (mind you if Central Coast got a team then he would of left anyway, so I was expecting it), but at least Cronk has shown he is there when needed. He may not be Jonathan Thurston or Andrew Johns but I prefer him over Orford any day of the week. It took plenty of balls to make a chip inside his own half coming up towards half time to set up the try to Folau.

A better half back and Manly would of won with all the ball they had in the last four minutes.

The worrying thing is that I'm not sure what Bailey going to add next season. He doesn't have a great kicking game from what I've seen. He probably more suited to the 5/8 then Menzies and Lyon, but we really need atleast a 5/8 or hooker that can kick the ball. Maybe we might get Tim Smith or Witty back.
