Bloody Eagles. Tipped them to win at Brookvale. Tipped against them in the coresponding game last year and they won, was expecting the same this time around.

What punishment, he goes to ESL and earns more money. Then comes back and plays for a half decent club (any club in NRL is better then Raiders, they will always be a 6-10 side) and proabably plays Orgin.

End of day I reckon he always knew there was a positive to getting sacked or forcing the club to let him play finals. Really when he comes back he will be at his peak and probably at a stage in his career where he can really push for Orgin. The next two season he would be so close, but so far from both Orgin and a title chance at Raiders. That season wont mean anything in the long run.

You are a ****ing idiot. That is the stupidest, most fickle opinion I have ever heard given on rugby league.

So you don't think he will earn more money in ESL? The word is he already had a deal lined up in ESL, or atleast had some offers on the table, going into his meeting with the Raiders

In a couple seasons he probably will be close to his peak and potentially be ready to push for an Orgin spot. So it not like he is going to miss out on potential rep football, as he couple seasons off being ready. Most players going to ESL still improve as footballers as the standard getting better. So it not like he will lose a lot interms of potential improvement.

As good as the Raiders have done in the last couple seasons. Until they get a high profiled coach or become more financially secure. They will probably always be a mid table side.

If it was a case of having no options he would have accepted Raiders' points. He didn't get what he wanted from the meeting. But it not like it is the end of world for him and there are some positives. Maybe the slight drop in standard will wake him and if he wants to play at the top he will sort himself out as well.

Manly said they wont be interested, but I'm in 2010 there would be a couple clubs that are keen for playmaker that will take the punt.

Titans vs Knights

Sorry for leaving them a bit late. I think the Titans will give the Knights a run for there money, however the Knights sraping home in the end. Roosters forward pack should be too strong for the Eels, even without Mark O'Meley. Raiders v Panthers should be a close one, and it could go either way. I am undecided on who will win it, and with Canberra's form at home, I am tipping them in a nail biter.

The last few finals places will be a deadset lottery. St George Illawarra, Canberra, Newcastle, Wests Tigers and New Zealand all look like they could finish on 28 competition points.

The boys (The Parramatta Eels) are due for a win today and I am not ruling them out either. It could and probably will be a cricket score though as Parramatta's defence in recent time has been quite sloppy.

Roosters to totally dominate the Eels today, without Mark O'Meley. Our forward pack will still be much to strong for the low confidence Eels, and with good go forward we will be able to spread the ball to to fringes of the field, and leave it to our speedsters to finish them off. However if we play like we have in the past few weeks they could give us a run for our money.

However, with Sa, Myles and O'Meley out, as well as Minichiello, it will be tough.

Was there a need for the other post Jake?

Tautai, what do you think of him?

I think that Tautai is a very bad player and should never of been brought up to firsts.

Titans apparently going to debut a 16y/o against the Knights. They're ****ing crazy, he'll be smashed.

Yeah he has a drinking problem, but it not like no other players in NRL have one. It just guys like him and Smith get caught out as they where bigish name players. If they are just our average player no one would care.
Everyone will get the same punishment, and it's a punishment because he has to leave a place he may have been settled (he obviously wasn't chasing more money had he not been dumped as he was going to stay with Canberra) and go somewhere he may not have wanted to go just yet. He might miss chances to represent state and country, as who knows what will happen in the meantime. It's not all about money to everyone, if it was there wouldn't be many players left in Australia as a lot of them could get more money overseas.

Given he sounded disappointed to be dumped then maybe he wasn't prepared for the 'positives' of leaving Canberra. There's no way of saying whether he'll be at his peak or not when he comes back from the UK. If he gets stuck into the drinking over there too then he probably won't be. Didn't another Raider play origin this year? You just have to be good enough, you don't have to be playing for another club. It's interesting to see how many Manly players were 'good enough' to play origin this year, yet they are at the right end of the ladder.

Smith and Carney get caught out because they are idiots. Other players have been disciplined too, but Carney was a repeat offender and Canberra were sick of it...pretty simple to understand really. People care because players like Carney get paid $400,000 a year and then expect to be bulletproof and everything to land in their lap no matter what they do. It's not like Carney's the first player to ever be dumped from his club, the only difference is another club desperate for success can't come along and give him a contract and I think that's a good thing.

Heard this. Stupid decision if I say so myself.

After the pounding the Knights gave Pearce not long back they're asking for some serious trouble. This isn't a ****ing video game, the kid could die.
I doubt him dieing.

Yes, very close game. 8-)

Terry Campese scored 36 points, and I think if he had a shot at another goal he would have got the most points (or equal) in a game of Rugby League.

Was there a need for the other post Jake?

Yes there was. I found that out later. He isn't playing anyway IIRC.

Tautai is average, like all Parra players. :p
