Ha, wow. Looks sixteen too. I bet a razor has never touched that face. Could be a special talent, but given he'd be the youngest first-grade player since WW2 it's a huge call.

I remember when the Cowboys wanted to blood Josh Hannay about twelve years ago and were vetoed by the NRL because he was too young (hadn't turned 16 before the start of the year). When he was old enough he got picked.

Was it Kurtly Beale that had to wait a year or two before playing Super 14 because the selectors weren't allowed to pick him? I seem to remember something similar to this happening and the ARU blocked him, or somebody else, from being picked. I'm surprised that it hasn't happened in this case,

Yeah ARU changed the rules that year so you had to be a certain age to play open rugby, I think it might have been 18. Then changed it back this season after Super 14 clubs asked for exceptions to play guys in the A sides, and then the Super 14 teams.

Might I add Canberra did it with third choice halfback, thirds choice fullback, third choice hooker, depleted back row and two of the first choice three quarters missing as well. If only the Sri Lankan cricket team played with as much passion as Canberra do rugby league eh.
