Brad Friedel is dead to me.

Anyhow, I just bought a few weeks worth of tickets for my new team in China. I live a good hour and half away from them in a completely different city and unfortunately they seem to be one of the worst sides in the Super League but I'll check them out for a few weeks and if they are any good or if its a good laugh then I don't mind making the journey and it will probably beat following my boys online this season.

How long you in China for?

One of England's leading football clubs, Arsenal, says it will train 16 of India's talented schoolboys at its training facilities in London.

The boys, aged between 10 and 15, were selected after a two-week coaching programme held recently in Calcutta by Arsenal staff.

The boys are flying out to begin their training at the club's stadium, Ashburton Grove, from next month.

Leading European football clubs are increasingly targeting India.
Hmmm now that's something. From the BBC site.

Fantastic stuff from Arsenal's development program. Would be absolutely chuffed if an Indian youngster was to represent us in the future.

It's in their best interests too though. For the team who finds an Indian superstar it'd be like finding a ****load of oil. Arsenal want to get there first I guess. From what I read elsewhere the boys in question are very young so hopefully are untouched by the general incompetence and corruption of India's football administrators.

Wish it all the best mainly because most of the boys they've picked up couldn't even afford a kit or proper boots and this gives them an out.

Scumbag Barton released after 74 days of a 6 month sentence... where the hell does the 6 month bit come from? What a joke.

Yeah, it's piss poor, not exactly setting an example to other unruly sorts who are contemplating going out and beating the life out of someone.

Fulham also on brink of signing Andy Johnson apparently, decent player, and would do well for them I imagine, but imo £12m is a bit steep for a player who hasnt really done much more than a decent job since he joined Everton.

If it backfires and Fulham go down then it could be a very costly buy indeed, as they'll never find anyone who will pay that much money to take him away from them.

Where on earth are Fulham getting all this money from? Thought al Fayed was bankrupt from lawyer's fees and various private eyes?

Yeah always thought half a sentence was bad enough but 74 days still falls a fair bit short doesn't it? It's not specialist treatment though 8-)

Well it could be a good partnership him and Torres yet you can't help but feel that as usual Liverpool have bought a player that is just short of what they really want. That being said, Keane seems to have been getting better and better, but still

Quite happy with that signing tbh, reckon Torres & Keane will go well together. He's certainly an upgrade from Crouch anyway.

Yeah been trying to figure that one out myself. If they do get Johnson, and Grella, I reckon they'll have done alright for themselves though.
