He had a great run at Fulham, thats the end of the story really. Was poor at Metz and terrible at Newcastle. Most United fans (going by the forums I post at) agree that if Saha was always fit they'd have him in the first team alongside Rooney with Tevez being the backup. Saha scores goals, simple as that really. Scores a goal every other game, if not more often. People write him off because they rarely see him get a lot of goals because he's rarely fit. Which is the real reason why Keane is the better choice overall, because there's little point in being the better striker if you're not on the pitch.
And what are you talking about? Ronaldo doesn't give you service!
Would be an awful buy almost regardless of price. Gomez has built his fame on four weeks of good form in the Bundesliga.Indeed, read on the bottom there where it says they're also linked to Mario Gomez, which I think is itstl.
Fair comment. Don't we all?Either your days are 900 hours long and you watch every bit of sport in history, or you rely on second hand info for everything.
Not defending Gomez, just making a casual observation.
Mate of mine has been living in Germany this year and watching a lot of German football, and he assures me that Gomez is nothing more than a flash in the pan who was never destined to become a fixture in the German team. Wouldn't be at all surprised if he's right.Yeah he was bad at Euro. Barely seen the **** play though, so can't pass much comment on him.
Having watched every one of the United games for the past 2-3 years, I'll disagree. He had a great run at Fulham, thats the end of the story really. Was poor at Metz and terrible at Newcastle.
His time at United has been hurt by injury but I think that has helped build the mistique because quite frankly he isnt that good. He has done bits to offer a glimmer of ability but he is well short of a quality United player.
Id love United to play him as first choice, but then I support Liverpool.
Irrelevant point though IMO, Saha never plays. Presumably, given he cost what he cost, Keane will.Such as Louis Saha? Yes imo.
In theory, but with them not getting Barry I imagine their system won't change too much, Gerrard will drop deeper or play wide and Keane will play the support role that Gerrard played, it was more like 4-2-2-1-1. You're right they were effective with that system, put on quite the run of form that I believe ended on Easter Sunday at Old Trafford where Mascherano showed that stupidity in football is alive and well.Looking at Keane as an individual, £20m is way, way too much. Maybe he will click with Torres, you can never quite tell, but I doubt it personally.
Additionally, if both Keane and Torres are to play together, that means stopping the usage of the 4-2-3-1, which was the only time Liverpool looked halfway effective last season.
As for Saha, good player when not injured, in fact very good, but given he always is injured, he is rather useless.
And the quality report of the day award goes too....

Most reports I've read seem to say that Rafa is still looking to sign Barry, so there's still a chance of that going through. In theory, but with them not getting Barry I imagine their system won't change too much, Gerrard will drop deeper or play wide and Keane will play the support role that Gerrard played, it was more like 4-2-2-1-1. You're right they were effective with that system, put on quite the run of form that I believe ended on Easter Sunday at Old Trafford where Mascherano showed that stupidity in football is alive and well.
That will be Citeh as soon as Shinawatra is jailed.Fulham - the new Leeds?
(That is going broke and dropping down the divisons quicker then a Didier Drogba dive )
