I am. Promising to see Harmison get up to 87mph in the last ball of his over. He has massive rhythm issues though; in his third ball, the side on view showed absolutely no momentum. I guess that the coordination of the limbs is tougher for tall people.

Plunkett bowling well, his action is 'straight lines' personified. Every ball is in the right sort of area as a result. It would seem that he has reduced the intensity of his action for accuracy and I feel that (in his case) it is a good move.
I've never rated Plunkett but at least his action gives him scope for improvement.. Like what I'm seeing so far

Well if he's not fired up playing for Durham, at home, against Yorkshire, after Fletcher's latest comments...

It isn't about getting fired up, imo - it is about rhythm. Consistently above 85mph now, which is the sort of pace he destroyed West Indies at.

To be honest any fast bowler worth their salt should enjoy themselves here, swing and seam aplenty. Although, Plunkett has been outstanding, his got the ball to move ball ways at a decent lick and had Yorkshire’s wicket-keeper absolutely stone dead with a beauty.
.
Good to see Neil Mac in the runs as well. Looked fairly uncomfortable early on but he soldiered on and played what looks to be a match winning knock.

Plunkers has been good today. Proof of what many have said though, he needed time back in county cricket, he was elevated to international honours far too soon.

He's still young, and this spell is hopeful, helpful pitch though, it has to be said. Still his batting remains a myth. Harmi doing okay, but he needs to do a lot for mine to get picked ahead of Broad and Tremlett.

Rashid didn't help himself with a silly run-out. Encouraging that he's batting at 5.

One of the coaches here (are their many except Goughy?) could probably put me right, but I believe that Harmison may lose pace from the bouncer by not putting the back into it.

I think that Plunkett is the perfect example of someone who needs hard yards (or hard overs) in County Cricket to hone his game.

Personally I think Harmison has to get to a point where he just lets it go without thinking about it. If it was simply rhythm then he'd have been very good at times of late - but he hasn't really. I think he maybe thinks about things too much which stops any rhythm he might build up.

Would be the first recorded incident of a slight nick to 4th slip tbh.
Would have taken that over Gale's dismissal (running down the wicket swinging widely whilst the keeper was up to the stumps). Talk about a rabbit caught in the headlights, the guy didn't have a clue.

Or maybe it’s a reflection on Yorkshire’s non-existent batting depth?

Harmison minor comes on to bowl. Never seen him with the cherry before.

Hmm. Very gentle pace, but seems to bowl just back of a good length like his brother so could potentially trouble batsmen with his bounce.

Utterly moronic the way they keep leaving Killeen to bowl some overs at the death, particularly after he's been so effective at the start.

If they lose this they should get strung up against the sea walls at Hartlepool.
