Declared at 452 with just 1 wicket down. Seems like a bit of a waste to be playing my best team when I should be saving them for CW cup.

This is First v Second in my FC league, so i'll declare at approx. 650 and hopefully i'll only have to bat once, though Babylon United scored over 300 against the team ranked 3rd in the league, so i'm not sure how well my bowlers will fare.

Aggressive chase here by my competent batsmen. Don't think I even went this slow against Tommytuck.

Hmmm. Playing a newly promoted side today - they're no walkovers and have put out their strongest side yet this season. I was hoping this would turn out to be relatively simple, but it might take three days to overcome these guys afterall.

End of Over 20 (Maiden). Granbreton xi: 65-2, runrate=3.25
Turner 2-2-0-0
Flahaven* 22 (40 balls)
Jackson 27 (61 balls)

Last Wicket: Clarke b. Woods 11 (FOW: 26/2)

Edit: A good spell from Turner (9-5-13-2) has turned an average morning into a decent one.

The players are off the field for lunch.

End of Over 35 (Maiden, 1lb). Granbreton xi: 107-4, runrate=3.06
Hennessy 7-1-26-0
Flahaven* 40 (68 balls)
Street 5 (22 balls)

Last Wicket: Lazarus lbw b. Turner 12 (FOW: 89/4)

End of Over 10 (2 runs). Swamibapa Leeds CC: 32-0, runrate=3.20
Trail by 190 runs. (Tartan Tyrants 222-10)
Sikander 5-1-11-0
Clunnie* 20 (31 balls)
Blakeman 12 (29 balls)

Much better prospects for forcing a victory over these guys than last season's fixture. Got them out quite cheap on hard and fast pitch and with the relative weakness of their bowling and the good weather forecast should set an imposing total to put them under pressure to fold by day three.

Bowlers tearing it up. Hopefully bowl them out tomorrow and make them follow on. Should win by an innings.

Granbreton xi: 207 (74) Flahaven 96, Hennessy 3/53 (16), Hardy 3/72 (19)
The Heath CC: 171/1 (36) Mclean 97* (114), Grant 35 (73)

A disciplined bowling performance, with lesser lights Hennessy and Hardy leading the way in terms of taking wickets, saw Granbreton just reach 1 batting point before being all out for 207. Grant and Mclean batted well in an opening stand that finished just one run short of a century partnership, but Gibson came in and supported Mclean well to finish the day with 18*. After a few decidedly average performances for The Heath CC since signing a couple of weeks ago for a club record £772,858, Mclean has shown his worth at the top of the order and will hopefully press on to score a big hundred as The Heath look to reach a total of around 400

Extremely pleased with the batting, though i'm still far too reliant on Dove to score the runs for Kipper XI. Hopefully Davies can continue to take wickets, and with luck I'll only need to bat once, though Babylon United look to have a reasonably strong batting side.
