I have now

The boys are calling Bob 'Funky Junky' at training...it's doing wonders for his morale. It'll obviously be going on the back of his 20/20 shirt, and his song to be played at the start of each spell has been pre-selected.

Won my league match against Doobie Bombers to take an outright lead in the league standings. They made 243 on a cracked pitch, with Whitehorne taking 6-62. We were struggling early on at 47/3, but Ashton (94*) and Watkins (111*) put on 199 to win in 46.1 overs. Somehow neither their phenomenal bowler (0-69 off 8) or their masterful (0-41 off 8) managed a wicket.

I've got a few easier matches over the next three weeks so I should have a decent lead by the time the second half of the season starts. Also won my Cup match and drew another home match, this time against a div I team (Twelfth Men). Should win it though.

Gleeson also might've popped from strong to superb cons, but he might've already. Don't really keep track of secondaries.

comfortable win by 9 wickets in the cup today. set a target of 201, we reached it in the 36th on the back of jason duggan's (109*) 43rd career century and a solid half century from ken lennon (80). duggan is only 339 runs away from scoring his 10,000th run in one day cricket. he should be adding to his 4 one day internationals in a couple of weeks. i'd love for him to score a 100 at this level.

next week i've drawn a team i knocked out of the cup a couple of seasons ago. shouldn't have any issues doing this once again. my only downfall, aside from getting sodomised by battrick, could be the inevitable exit of dom graham, whom should, according to my records, pop tomorrow morning to sensational bowling. if he can do this for me, then i shall sell the underachiever. given the general fagginess of the bt transfer market and my longing to replace him with a new zealander, i doubt he'll be replaced in time.

also won my league match on saturday ftr. although we remain 8 points off the lead, the sides that i needed to lose games have done so already, meaning we're right in the race for the title after our disgraceful start to the league campaign.

oh, and robert and mike. pretty dam impressive pops you've got there. mike, brad noon could become a rear cw u19 who actually goes onto play for his country imo.

RE: ITS, Harris, Moloto & Hamlin are the only 3 YP's I've had that have been worth training. It's all down to luck really, Harris was my last YP that had a respectable primary, and that was 2 seasons ago.

End of Over 57 (9 runs). Opening Balance: 278-1, runrate=4.88
Scales 4-0-32-0
Nieuwenhuis* 126 (176 balls)
Richardson 130 (165 balls)

2nd XI FC team again, batsmen are doing the job for now. Hoping my bowlers can end the match tomorrow.
