Yorkshire are absolutely STEAMROLLERING Warwickshire. They're 31-7 after getting 129 in their first innings. Yorkshire got nearly 600, so its going to be an extremely hefty defeat by the looks of it.
Warwickshire should get minus points for that. That's dire.

Amazed to find this match still going (Ambrose has made 82) but Yorkshire just need one wicket now. Four wickets for the Dazzler.

Just hope the rain stays away.

It's over now! there was plenty of resistance from Ambrose and the tail:

Tim Ambrose 89*
Alfonso Thomas (who he?) 42
James Anyon 27
Stuart Hole (ditto) 24

On the subject of Thomases, whatever happened to Darren Thomas? Did he get another county after he left Glamorgan?

South African bowling allrounder IIRC. He was in their test squad at one point - I'm not sure if he ended up playing though. He's a regular for South Africa A as well.

South African all-rounder, very decent cricketer. Alfonso, made his debut for South Africa earlier this year against Pakistan (20/20) and he was unlucky not be apart of the 20/20 squad. Apparently Thomas is going Kolpak next year…

I'll be going, mostly for Lara and Donald it has to be said. PCA full of 90s peripheral England Internationals but also casually Ian Harvey.

When/where's that?

Sounds interesting.
Indeed and the side stories apparent in Warwickshire’s side are even more interesting...

Captain Reeve, after going underground for a couple of years in New Zealand is now apparently on the mend, and interested in getting back into the media. Paul Smith now spends most of his time in downtown L.A with former gang members (teaching cricket) whilst Smith’s best friend Keith Piper, not only shares (as we know) a similar weakness for ‘narcotics’ as Reeve and Smith ‘did’ but Keith also had an affair with Smith’s partner, who is the mother to Smith’s daughter - a daughter which Smith can not only not get access to but hasn’t heard from in some years.

Aside from those characters good squad. Dominic Ostler and Neil Smith were two of my favourite cricketers growing up, especially Ostler who played some brutal one day knocks I recall.

And it’s probably worth going just to see Kim Barnett’s stance tbh let alone the prospect of seeing Lara take Peter Such to task.

Anyone seen Tim Ambrose play ? He's been touted in some quarters as England material....

Lol Paul Smith and Keith Piper in the same team, could be interesting.

Edit, just read TT Boy's post.

Rated pretty highly, not too far behind Prior from what I've read on these boards. Having an excellent season.

Hick is a run machine :-O I really worry about the day he decides to retire. It's going to leave a big hole that Worcs will never replace :@

The Pro40 might just salvage the season for us. I just hope our run continues.

Abdul Razzaq is a bit of a nutter, not wearing a helmet against Mahmood, wouldn't even think about it against someone like Collingwood tbh. Hick played well, that last over against Mahmood got smashed big-style.

Mahmood has only played a handful of gmaes since returning from operation.

I'm still waiting for Moeen Ali to fully prosper; looks like such a good talent, but he hasn't had an extended run in the Worcestershire team. His cousin Kabir is also have a good season, but unfortunately this isn't the 1990s England where everyone in the county gets a Test cap.

Also, does anyone know if Hick has any plans of retiring?
