Somerset have beaten Lancs in the 2nd XI Trophy semi-final :D Sussex or Middlesex in the final.

Neil McKenzie has arrived to replace Cam from next week.

Superb hundred by Luke Wright coming with a 6 off his 60th ball received.

112 wanted off 107 balls, while he's there they should cruise it.

Hmm got out on 125 off 73 balls, looks like he might carry his Twenty20 form into List A matches where he has a very poor record.

Yeah, great way for Wright to celebrate an international call up, top knock.

Looks a fairly adept cricketer in that he can score pretty much all round the wicket and his comfortable on either back or front foot. Though, I can not see him making many waves as an all-rounder for England, his bowling looks too mundane currently.

Didn't want to make a new post about it, so ill post this here. But England U19 comprehensively beat Pakistan U19 today in the first test by an innings and 58 runs :)
Cricinfo are reporting that Surrey’s Rory Hamilton-Brown was stripped of the England captaincy on the eve of this game after he was caught drinking the night before. Brown was then suspended by the ECB and replaced as captain for the game by Glamorgan’s Ben Wright.

Not been a great season for Brown, hasn’t pushed on with Surrey and he doesn’t feature for the seconds much. Real shame for he looked pretty decent when I've seen him play.

Did anyone else watching the game on Sky today think that the young bloke bowling offies for Sussex was the most blatant chucker seen for quite some time? Unless it's all a Murali-esque illusion, how he got though the net is ridiculous.

Rayner. Looked very dodgy indeed.

Kent back to earth with a bump today after their 20:20 triumph on Saturday. Slipped to 66/4 in the big game against Surrey, but are now putting on a recovery of sorts after lunch, having moved fairly swiftly onto 102/4. Key is continuing to impress with an unbeaten 50. Wonder how far away he'll be from a call-up if England's batsmen fail to fire again against India this week. I'd certainly have him ahead of Strauss on current form at any rate.

Edit: Make that 102/5. Why does that always happen?!

Looking at the Middx bowling figures it looks as if Ed Smith miscounted somewhere, resulting in Shah having to be brought on for one over late in the innings. Not the sort of thing you expect from a bright chap like that.
