If Prior gets out that should be it. 380 ahead ought to be enough anyway.
Plunkett who bowled decently and was unlucky to only take 2 wickets. Harmison lost his action obviously and it wasn't sorted out quickly enough by whoever.Against a decent attack, WI would have no chance. Unfortunately, we all saw Harmy & Plunkett's performances in the 1st innings, so who knows? If Gayle stays in, it could yet be interesting.
Can a Durham player do any wrong in your eyes? Plunkett was inconsistent at best, and interspersed some good deliveries with some shockers. Harmison's poor form is no-one's fault but his own, and to blame someone else for not "sorting out" his shocking day of bowling is just ridiculous.Plunkett who bowled decently and was unlucky to only take 2 wickets. Plunkett bowled well enough to take 3-4 wickets on average luck, which would have been perfectly respectable. I didn't say whose fault Harmison's technical fault being not corrected was, because we're in no position to know. Can a Durham player do any wrong in your eyes? How is it possible that it's anyone else's fault than Harmison's? We're in no position to know what the coaches are doing, but I don't see any reason why anyone other than the player himself should take the blame for a poor patch of form.Plunkett bowled well enough to take 3-4 wickets on average luck, which would have been perfectly respectable. Because they should do something about it as soon as possible, which may or may not have been something he could have corrected sooner rather than later, or if not then you can have Collingwood and whoever bowl some more overs. How is it possible that it's anyone else's fault than Harmison's? His issues maybe as much mental as technical but given they are both ****ed that isnt much of a comparison.Given Harmison's figures for Durham this year, you'd have to think there isn't a whole lot wrong with his action. imo, his problems in tests are as much mental as technical.
PY sees a lot of Shaun Pollock in young Plunkett...Plunkett showing his renowned ability with the bat
Come on Harmy, time to make some sort of contribution to the game ...
Sadly we don’t have Sajid Mahmood this time.England were in pretty much the same position against Pakistan in 2006 at Headingley IIRC, expect that we have a lot more runs to play with. We are perfectly capable of taking 10 wickets tomorrow, should Panesar and Harmison bowl well.
