Aussies did exactly what they needed to do - that kind of professionalism to always bring near their best, regardless of the competition, is what separates them from pretty much every other team at the moment. Congrats to McGrath for surpassing a record held by one of the true greats of the game btw.
Bangers were a bit disappointing, although in a Twenty20 scenario against a v. good attack, its always a possibility that things will go awry.
Only downside for Australia was the injuring to Watson - his curse of hurting himself as soon as he begins to string together decent performances continues. His record at this WC bears stating at this point, given it could well be over for him:
Batting at 7:
18* (23), 12* (4), 14* (9), and 33* (26) = 77 (62). 77 runs without dismissal at S/R of 124.2.
Bowling:
0/18 off 7, DNB, 1/46 off 8, 0/31 off 7, 0 /4 of 1.4 overs = 1 wicket at 99. ER: 4.2. ER's good and given he basically didn't get to bowl at Bangladesh before being hurt and wasn't bowled against the Dutch - where you'd think he might have taken a wicket or two, his average is not really representative of a pretty handy performance with the ball as a batting allrounder.
