Lee's often a good death bowler when there isn't a set batsman in, and the opposition are batting first and hence not knowing what they need to chase. The thing is, Lee's often good at the death, because his angles aren't all over the (wrong) place like Tait's. Tait might as well throw the ball at the boundaries himself the way he lets them help it on its way.
Lee can be a horrid death bowler if any decent batsman is in, and the opposition know they need 7, 8 or 9 an over. He can be downright woeful sometimes, bowling short outside off and gifting boundaries, and then he bowls wides for fun.
Bracken and McGrath (though he was ordinary today) are generally the best death bowlers in Australia fairly comfortably, and I never understand why Ponting bowls Lee from overs 46-50.
