Hahaha, ploughing through the seasons here
We won the CC by 50 odd points, won the Challenge Trophy, knocked out in the semi-final of the Twenty20 Cup and came around 6th in the Pro League (although, if had won our last game, we would've finished 2nd). Note that Roach & Yau were equal top wicket takers
Peter Ames was solid in both forms of the game, although he dropped off towards the end of the season.
Timothey Bates was really good in OD, opening the batting, although he struggled a bit in FC. Still, not bad at all for a wicket-keeper in his debut season.
Thomas Chester had a gun debut season, nearly averaging over 50 in both forms. Struck some elegant knocks in first-class, and wreaked havoc at the latter stage of our one-day innings'. He's the new "golden child" of the batting lineup, after the disappointment of Ramshaw. He was also called up to the England squad... but didn't get a game.
Steven Crook dominated with the bat in first-class and was pipped only just by Moore from Worcs in both the batting awards. Seems Buddh was right. He struggled a bit in one-day, but as shown by his FC season, should come good.
David Oddie really stepped it up this season, averaging over 40 in both forms. No doubt one to watch in future.
Barry Ramshaw, the former posterboy of the club, is about to embark on his last season at the club unless he averages over 40 in both forms. I'd thought about it, but I was only sure during this season, with all his starts, that his 2nd team average when I got him was just from a few innings and was thus inflated. So it's make or break for this dud.
Carl Roach continued the sparkling start to his career by breaking the 100 wicket mark for the first season, and being equal top wicket taker with spinning partner Yau. Only complaint is that at times, he was just useless in first-class and couldn't buy a wicket. Looking for him to average in the low 20s next season. Career stats - FC: 254 wkts @ 26.79, OD: 89 wkts @ 22.76, at just 20 years of age.
Wayne Yau established himself as one of England's leading spinners by topping the wicket tally for the season along with Roach. Always able to a take a wicket, he broke the 100 wicket mark for the first, and hopefully not the last, time.
