Just had a thrilling finish to the Pro League season. Going into the last round, I was sitting on 10 points with an NRR of +4.7 odd, and ahead of me was Somerset on 12 points with an NRR of around +7.5. So I went into the game against Hampshire knowing I had to absolutely destroy them if I was to give myself a shot at the title.

I had another pretty good season, continued to dominate in FC, winning 15, losing 0 and drawing 1. I'm looking to pick up some young guns over the off season, win all four competitions and then move on to managing England. Oddie showed massive signs of improvement, Chester is going from strength to strength and there were some good signs from Bates as well.

For the 3rd consecutive season, I've got no decent youth players :( However, Blakemore is gunning it at Test level. But Chester has just had his FC average completely screwed over by the Tests :-O Picked up Strauss, should be alright.

Recap of 2032

1st in CC, 1st in PL, 5th in my CT group, and won the Twenty20 final.

Australian import went well.

Hurley continues to improve with each season.

Gunson finally showed glimpses off greatness after promising so much as an 18 year old.

Didn't get to play much county cricket this season, but still impressive figures.

Paulin finally shone at CC and Test level.

With a career 2nd XI average of 10.99, Eyre had a fantastic debut season.

I had another pretty good season, made the semi-final of the Twenty20 competition as well as winning everything else. Though I'll be honest - I nearly lost the CC and the Pro League - wasn't until the last game of the CC that I actually assumed 1st position. Once again, internationals screwing Chester over.

Finally got a decent youth player, though he's already 21. Mitch Johnson was signed as the marquee player - he'll be in all the promotions and so on. Rana seems like a fair gun, didn't really need him but he'll slot in at #7 or so.

First innings lead of 149...doesn't that mean the follow-on has been avoided?

Apparently not. Clearly a bug then?

This season was a bit of a drop from last season - only came 3rd in the Pro League, and were semi-finallists in the Twenty20 cup. Nothing special to report re: players - Bickerton (my youth who averaged 18), averaged 30 in the 2nd team for the whole season so it looks like he's on the way out. Chester gunned it yet again, Roach continues improving and Yau was insane.

Geeze you guys run through your seasons. :D I play maybe 2-3 matches a day.

Though if I've got nothing to do sometimes I'll sit down and knock off half a season.

Haha, oh yeah

Made some solid signings over the off season - a certain K Pietersen, Pakistani allrounder Mansoor Amjad and young batting star, Stephen Miller. Miller should turn out alright :D

Geeze, is Miller a foreign player or a youth player? Those stats are ridicuously good for him to be on the market...

Robertinho

He's a youth player, sorry. 2nd team averages shown. Missed out on getting a 2nd overseas player, because I got to that final round where there's no continue button, having not offered him a contract yet :(

I hate that annoying final round bug.

But that guy looks a good prospect.

Do you have trouble fitting new players in? I have a set XI that play every game unless someone gets a call up for international duty thus giving the new guys/overseas guys a chance to play. And even if they gun it, I'll revert back to my usual players

I went an entire season without playing my overseas signings of Marcus North and some spinner from RSA.

Haha yeah, I know what you mean. I get quite a few call-ups though - my leading batsman, my leading bowler, sometimes my 2nd opening bowler, sometimes my keeper, and I've no doubt Pietersen will get called up as well. I'm really hoping to win all 4 this season, then move on to managing England.
