well... didnt reuben have a lot to say about himself...
Leg-spin: my main attribute is that I spin the ball a long way. Just started to land a reasonable wrongun. My accuracy has been my downfall but I have become much better this season.
Batting: I am a tailender but this season I have become very difficult to get out. I can put away the bad ball but am pretty defensive. My average this season has jsut hit 50... like I say, I dont get out.
Fielding: I field at cover. I can pick up a travelling ball without going down and release it quickly, just not very powerfully.

its crazy writing about yourself. :pig:

Batting: Used to bat quite a bit effectively(don't play a lot these days)....played the straight drive with a lot of style a la Gavaskar, atleast so I thought ;) ;) Square drive and leg glance are some of my better strokes.

Bowling: Can bowl six beamers in a row
:lol::lol:

Fielding: Deep fielding is my forte with good throws being my pride.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
i forgot to mention about batting
itll take me 1 over to get my eye in (usually) then hit a textbook shot, followed by a shot usually resulting in being out or mass humiliation.

Batting
I like to open the batting in one dayers, score my runs very quickly, usually better than a run a ball. In 2 day games i bat 7 and bat similarly, but by then i can punish the change bowlers.

Bowling
Right arm fast medium who bowls first change, i can bowl good in swingers to right handers when the ball is old.

Fielding
Usually at gully at the start of an innings, but have taken most of my catches this season in the covers. Also a regular boundary rider when the spinners come on to get smashed.

Leg Spin - Little turn. Very very off target.

Off Spin - Average line and length bowler. Can turn the ball on average a foot, can get it turn over two if needed. Currently working on the toppie, have got it going an extra six inches in bounce. I'm even getting a bowl.

Fast Bowling - Little pace, very little cut or swing. Just line and length, haven't bowled this in a game for over ten seasons.

Batting - Average opening batter. Great defence if i can stay out there for the first couple of overs. Main shots... The dab over or through the slips and gully, the block and also the sweep shot. (Not that I face and spinner.)

Fielding - Gully, Slips or anywhere I am needed. Good alrounder, this season played in every possie, great and the dive to save four.

Wicketkeeping: - Third or fourth string keeper, had to do it for a season and took everything that came to me. Even one of the spinner at the stumps.

Carrer Stats:

High Score: 33
Best Bowling: 5 overs, 4 maidens, 5 wickets and 5 runs.
Fielding: 4 catches in a game.
Wicketkeeping: One catch in a game.:rodent:

Bowling: I've always been very accurate, the yorker is my strength. I'm gaining pace and so far not losing my good economy rate.

Batting: AHAHAHAHA (I've reached double figures twice in my life though!)

Fielding: Sometimes I can take good catches close in and wonder how the heck I managed it. Weak arm and dreadful outfielder though.

I also forgot to mention I can actually land the ball on the pitch bowling left handed and can hit the stumps.

Batting: Start off slow, but when I have to, I can score quickly. I prefer to score in the V, but I can cut and pull. Specialty shot: coming down the pitch to hit a lofted drive over cover - seems I can get a lot of power into that shot.
Bowling: OK slow-medium pace. I can bowl the same ball over and over again, so I can keep runs down although I can hardly buy a wicket. I also bowl off-spin, but although I can turn it and occasionally send down a good one, I tend to be very inaccurate.
Fielding: No comment.

Batting: Bat at Number 11 (which I think says enough) - scored a grand total of 37 runs last season played, but it was in A-Grade and isn't what I'm there for (people don't realise that the only time an 11 gets to bat is against the good teams! It's a specialist position :p ). Have actually scored two 100's in third grade so can bat ok, like to play straight and am a hopeless player of the pull or hook - can cut quite well though. Played in England in 2002 and actually batted at 4! haha Apparently I was there to keep the innings together, but managed to average 42 which was ok. I was helped by a distinct lack of pace and bounce on most occasions (and the fact that it was English cricket :D) . Haven't played since then cause I've been on a bit of a backpacking thing ever since, but this coming Aussie season it's back to the coveted 11 I'd presume - once the chiropractor ensures I'm not going to snap in half.

Bowling: I'm in the team to bowl, and open up with fast medium. I can move the ball both ways off the seam although I naturally move it back into the RH batsman. Tend not to swing the ball much but with seam both ways while it'd be nice it's not really a concern. Maintain a good line and length and am constantly amazed (and generally overjoyed haha) by the lack of patience shown by batsmen in my area (Gold Coast/Tweed comp if there's anyone else on here from that area). Averaged around 14 last season played with 28 wickets. In Plymouth, UK averaged 9 with 49 wickets (including about 15 dropped catches and a number of decisions where a player hit on the back leg in front of middle was considered "not out" - but we won't go into that! haha)

Best Cricketing Moment: (sorry added this one in) Playing a game vs NSW when they were touring some of the country areas. Their team included Slater, Bevan, Clarke, Bracken, Haddin etc and it was a fun day. Obviously we got flogged but I took 1/45 off 9 and hit Bevan for 4 before being bowled by Don Nash with a yorker that I never really saw haha. We ended up losing a 50 over one-day game by 180 runs which is impressive, but on the upside I hit Bevan in the testicles (this seems to be a common theme in my bowling tales! haha) which was good cause he was a bit of a tool. Slater, Bracken, Haddin and most of the other guys were really nice though. They made us look like we were bowling really slow when they batted - had so much time, and Greg Mail - the other opener - hit a square drive onto the clubhouse roof for 6, which was impressive cause I wasn't bowling haha. I was at the other end getting hit for 3 x 4 in one over by Slater.......

LEG SPIN
I can really spin the bowl and also bowl the googly which none of my teammates can bowl.I really take wickets.
BATTING
I have the ability to charge any type of bowler and I can stay as well as hit.
FIELDING
One of the best fielder of the Class`s team :)

Christ. Am I the only guy here who's pretty damn abject?!?!

Fielding: The only thing I'd even vaguely consider up to scratch is my throwing arm. I'm a big guy (well over six feet & bordering 15 stone, so for "big" read "lardy" 8-) ) and as a consequence I can chuck the ball a long way & fairly straight. This is tempered somewhat by my lack of movement in the outfield. I can't catch a cold either...

Bowling: I bowl the kinda slow-medium that scares decent batsmen (as in "God, I'd better not get out to this muppet") & gets tonked whenever I drift from just outside off.

Batting: My batting usually consists of a couple of lusty hoiks across the line (from 9 or 10 usually) followed by the traditionally English sound of leather on stump! That said, if I connect it goes a fair ways...

WTF is abject?

Batting:
I'm not a good strokemaker. I can cut and pull abit but I don't really have any other shots. My main talent is that I'm hard to get out (hence my average of 32 this season). So I play Boycott-like at one end and let the other batsmen slog.

Bowling:
I used to bowl leg spin, being able to turn the ball miles and that. But, one day I bowl a top spinner and soon that happened every ball and I lost my leggie. So yesterday I decided to bowl off spin intead, I'll be good at that as soon as I gain some control....but at the moment I'm $*!t at both types of spin

Fielding:
Now here is something I can brag about. I happen to have the best pair of hands in Warrington(which is where I play my cricket), even if I do say so myself.I'm athletic and have a good arm. God, I'm good.

Bowling:

Fast bowling: I imitate Waqar Younis's action pretty well. I used to be the fastest bowler in my team when I was playing for my school and I can bowl yorkers at good pace. But now, I have become more medium pace and I don't know why....I'm not as much of a threat as I used to be. :(

Leg spin: Don't bowl legspin much but sometimes I can get quite a bit of turn. I once got 4 wickets for 15 runs resorting to spin.

Batting:

I used to be really aggressive. Now not so much. But I am a good player of the pull and the hook. I hit most of my sixes through midwicket which is the longest boundary where we play.

I am very good at running between the wickets. I run pretty fast since I go running for at least 4 kms everyday.

Fielding:

My throw is not as good as it used to be when I used to play far more seriously. But I'm good inside the ring.

So yeah, I'm not as good as I was :(
