You know what really grinds my sporting gears?

Nah, like Murray personally, bloody good player, not up his own arse either. Makes me laugh his dislike for English, he is Scottish after all, bit like me hating GIMH because he's from (near) Liverpool. Rather hate him because he's a **** but thats besides the point.

Murray has made it clear that when it comes to tennis he's proud to play for GB, and he's proud to be called British, which is all you can expect from him really, cant blame him for being annoyed when people call him English.

You have neither a line of scrimmage or a first down line shown, get off my television.

wat. He drives with the same irresponsibilty and lack of respect that Schumacher always did. He might seem like an alright bloke of the track but he's far too dangerous to others as a driver IMO. It might be what you need to be a world champion, but I frankly couldn't give a ****. One day he'll kill someone and then we'll see.
More likelyRaikonnen or Kubica to do that to one another :naughty:

Don't get the Hamilton hate. I think we could take a leaf from the Aussie's book when itcomes to sporting personalities; No matter how much of a **** they are, if they are good enough, then they are loved. Examples would be Campese and Symonds, two total pricks but (I assume, I may be wrong, obv) both well liked by the Aussie public, due to being pretty damn good at their respective sports.

Personally, I couldn't give a flying **** what sort of person Hamilton is behind closed doors, he is a brilliant F1 driver, nobody can deny that, and I'll love him for it.
Think one of the biggest reasons that I don't really support Hamilton is that when it comes to individual events (apart from the olympics) i couldn't care less where they come from. Hamilton being British makes me no less or more likely to want him to win. However I can't deny is that he is one of the most entertaining drivers in formula 1.

That's like being the best no-handed heart surgeon tho, isn't it?

Two wheels are where it's at in motor sport.

Yeah it really is but for some inexplicable reason I still prefer formula 1, can't give any justification for why apart from that I have been watching it my whole life.

Couldn't be more wrong. I reckon Symonds is a good bloke. Just doesn't have the heart of the other athletes and thus lets the team down from time to time. I don't like him at the moment because there's no way in the world he should be in the test team. Score some runs for Queensland ffs.

I seem to remember hearing from a few people in Aus that he was really popular amongst the public, but that was a while ago, his rep might have dropped after his drop in form for the Test team and when he was fishing when he should have been at a team meeting. That said, the perception of whether he is popular or not depends hugely on who you are and where you live, obviously.

That grates as well, when are the UK just going to cast off the seperate home nations and make them independant? How can you have a guy playing for GB, who hates 80% of GB?

He doesn't hate 80% of GB, he just doesn't like being called English and hates the English football team (everyone does).

Worst commentator in any sport ever. EVER. Why the BBC continue to employ him will forever confuse me. Not only is his commentary made up entirely of a list of about 5 clichés, but a minute's silence for Leon Walker was just held at the Wakefield - St Helens game. About 3 seconds after it started he goes "and now, silence around the ground." Yeah, apart from you, big gob. STFU and show some respect.
