Seriously though, have never been given a reason to dislike him, seems like a breath of fresh air when compared to Alonso or Schumacher so I fail to understand some of the hate as well. Assuming it's a British thing?

It's because he is better than them now, and has been better from the time he set foot in an F1 car imo (Well, not really, but It wouldn't surprised me if it was the main reason guys like Alonso dislike him). Probably also a lot of resentment because of the free ride he gets from the media. Can't recall seeing a poor word written about the bloke.

wat. He drives with the same irresponsibilty and lack of respect that Schumacher always did. He might seem like an alright bloke of the track but he's far too dangerous to others as a driver IMO. It might be what you need to be a world champion, but I frankly couldn't give a ****. One day he'll kill someone and then we'll see.

Was talking about the fact that doesn't seem like the total **** the other 2 were/are off the track. Don't mind his driving style. Obviously he's had his moments, but he's not a patch on Schumacher when it comes to being dirty afaic.

There are a number of reasons that I can't really support him. Think there is an underlying hint of smugness about him but I don't really mind him as a person. However I am not a fan of Ron Dennis (a fairly recent thing as I always supported Hakkinen) so was not cheering Mclaren on last year. Also think that Hamilton was bit lucky last year, he put in a number of poor performances as well as a number of excellent ones. However Biggest reason of all though for me not supporting him is the media hype, Yes he is very good but No he is not the clearly the best driver in the world.
