World Cup Discussion

After a few days off coaching at sports camp I'm very happy to come back and find the South African's doing so well. The win against the Sri Lankans was great...

Just a question. Will teams be taking a certain amount of points through to the super 6 like they do in real World Cup depending on performance in group stages.

Nice soild win to finsh off the world cup for us, would have liked them to get the runs with a few more wickets to spare, but they got over the line which is the main thing. Now the boys will go back into camp and prepare for the ODI and Test Series against Bangla, should be a very tough series for the boys. Good luck to all the teams and their managers that made it through to Super Six.

yer likewise managers congrats and see ya in the test series...........lets go site seeing mr tharmi :P

Go Pakistan :) great high scoring game there. Good bowling by M. Butt to take 4 for. Hopefully we can back it up and fight for a semi final spot.

P.S how many super 6 rounds are there?

Australia continue to steamroll their way through, what a great win over the old rivals England, some questioned the selection of Stratton at the start of the tournament but he hasnt let anyone down, Dawson and Sammels also doing top jobs...
wouldnt mind someone in the top 4 getting a big score in the next game...

Disapointing loss for the Windies there. We did well chasing such a large total, it is always tough chasing anthing over 6 an over. We're still in contention and two more wins will see us into the semi finals.

62 All Out is a very poor effort there especially with the line up we have with most of the top 6 averaging over 50 and for all of them to fail so miserably was a huge disappointment. Luckily it's only the super 6 stage and we should be able to bounce back and get into the semi finals. Look forward to the rest of the world cup.

62!?!?! SIXTY-****ING-TWO!?!?! Not impressed.

We should be able to still qualify but it's not the best result to have, as we'll most likely need to beat Australia to get the World Cup won.

Well Gameday 2 in the Super Six has been completed... Some brilliant performances today and now only 2 Semi Final spots remain open...

One side cannot qualify for the Semis and will now look toward the Innaugural Test and OD Series..

I've enclosed the latest Averages for all teams involved in the Super Six, as well as the leading performances in the World Cup...

Great game Pakistan. We continue to defie the odds and thoguths of other managers and are now only one win away from a semi final berth. The next game should be a corker. If Pakistan win we go through if we loose it will come down to NRR for West Indies. Hop-efully South Africa kill them by 19 wickets and i beat England by 1 run :) to seal the spot.

Absolutely hammered in that match. Will be hard to make the semis from here, and even if we do we will have to pick up our performances to even be a shot at the title.

One week 62 All Out the next 353, wonder what the next week holds. Anyways the team regrouped after the smashing by Australia to basically bat South Africa out of the game by making 353 with Mane scoring 130 and Boxall scoring 140ish. Pleasing to get back on the winner's list with a comprehensive 105 run win. Look forward to the remaining matches.

The bowling has just been ridiculous for the West Indies in this tournament. Definitely need to see improvement, regardless of whether we exit the Cup.
