Who is the most frustrating player for your country?

For us, it has to be Ricky Ponting. The man scores against us everytime. Well, he scores against anybody everytime.

From South Africa, it has to be Herschelle Gibbs, he plunders our bowling attack to pieces most of the time.
You forgot about Ponting's 2001 series in India pretty quickly! What was it, 17 runs in 6 innings? Will be interesting to see how he goes this time round.

But Ponting in 2003/2004 is so much better of a player than Ponting in 2001.

It is possible for players to learn from their mistakes. Ponting is the perfect example of this.

Up there with the very best of batsmen now.

No doubting that, but I think that come October, India will value Hayden's wicket more than Ponting's.

Exactly. I was talking in the context of the one player who frustrates us the most AT HOME, where we are the invincible kings, and that's why picked Hayden.

How can that be judged already? Who knows, maybe Hayden will be lacklustre and Ponting superb. We don't know.

True.

But the thread is "Who *is* the most frustrating player...?" not "Who *will be*...?"

So, according to past record, Hayden has to be more feared of than Ponting.

It can't be judged, as form will always vary. But considering that Hayden's average in India is more than eight times that of Ponting, it is fairly obvious (you would think) who India would rather get out cheaply.

Hayden more feared on Indian wickets.

Ponting more feared on Aussie wickets.

Happy? :D

That will remain true as long as Ponting is dismissed cheaply 1st innings, 1st Test. If not, no.

not the most frustrating from your own country. read the question again.
:shy:

ok then.

Shane Bond.

And in the 93/94 tour Hansie Cronje was like a brick wall, always remembered how tough he seemed to get out.

Was a frustration for Australia...agreed.

The part I dont agree with is the starred out word. Whatever that word was, couldnt have been good.

The word was pr!ck. Not too bad eh?

Also when I say he was a bit of a pri!ck i mean in the way he seemed stubborn and with no respect. Which Test did he not turn up for the Toss?
