Where will Jacob Bethell end up being ranked?

Ali TT

International Vice-Captain
A wildcard pick of someone with the right attitude, even if lacking the stats, that reminds of when Australia selected a young leg-spinner in the 2010 Ashes who went on to become one of their greatest batters. We could be at the birth of greatness.

Will Bethell's career take a similar but maybe opposite direction to Smith where he ends up one of England's greatest spinners?

When his career is over he'll be in the top 70 for sure.

Qlder

International Regular
He averages 25 with the bat and 96 with the ball in FC. Is he supposed to be a batsman, bowler or allrounder?

Oh hang on, crickinfo has him as "Batting Allrounder"

Third_Man

First Class Debutant
He has hit the ground running in T20 for England, less so in the 50 over format.

He will either mature into an all format player or go the way of Buttler and Livingstone etc. His test career may well end abruptly if England move away from bazball and toward more calculated and less intuitive selections.
