Where will Jacob Bethell end up being ranked?

Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
There was a good game at OT where he and Jimmy brought us back into it when all looked lost against New Zealand. I don’t remember him doing much else. 07/08 weren’t memorable years for England though, to your point.
Those years after 2005 and before the Strauss team do feel a bit lost.

2006 was SL first - where Flintoff broke himself bowling 50 odd overs at Lords and we ended up drawing that series after losing on a wicket at Trent Bridge that could've been lifted from Galle. The Pakistan series was a weird one - Harmison had his one good test post-2005 on a perfect pitch for him at OT and Pakistan did a Pakistan collapsing on day 5 at Headingley, then there was the ball tampering test at the Oval. England won the series 3-0 despite giving up 445, 538 and 504 in first innings with Yusuf scoring 202, 193 and 128.

While no one was looking, Ryan Sidebottom sneakily had a test career. So did Tim Ambrose.

I really did like Sidebottom for a while there tbf
He was unfortunate that when Prior first kept for England he was rubbish and kept dropping stuff from Sidebottom.....which I think was how Ambrose ended up getting a few games (which still seems bizarre because Ambrose left Sussex as he (and everyone else) knew Prior was massively more talented).
